ADSP: The Options (and Other Stuff)

ADSP
**DISCLAIMER: This article is written in by the PP of the ADSP and will naturally contain bias. You've been warned**
**DISCLAIMER 2: I will not be responding to any comments by AW. I've tried reasoning/debating with him, but it's totally useless.**
It's that time of month again, and eAustralians everywhere will start heading to the polls in about six hours. So what I want to ask potential voters is this: Who do you want in power?
Let's look at the options:
ANP - This party is the only right-wing in the country, and if they get elected to a majority............. I think it'd be safe to say that we'd no longer have Medicare and/or Trainers, because they would've cut the funding to these programs by reducing the taxes. The taxes are at a very decent level to allow for maximum growth of both small business and the treasury.
AAA - Centrist. Nothing much to see here, this party is pretty much dead and only has one (currently) elected Congressmen who is not very active in Congress Discussion.
ACP - This party is new, and is formed of former ADSP members who didn't quite agree with some of the ADSP's more "Centre-Left" policies, they've yet to be given any Congressional power as this is their first election.
AIP - This party is also new, and was formed the same day as the ACP, it's policy is to "keep the bastards honest," however, I'd be cautious about voting them in, because every member has a different stance on each issue (not that that's a bad thing) - it will be hard to determine where they stand on every issue.
ADSP - This party is one of oldest in eAus, and the membership includes those such as corny-ratbag, Tecchi (MoD), Cottus Arci (CP), haugenmatt (DMoC), patti11 (MoI), and myself (DPM and MoC); most of whom have been around since before the independence of eAustralia. We would never do anything to harm this great country.
Some of the ADSP's policies have been somewhat controversial, but I would encourage voters to remember that it's always the minority who are the most vocal. The ADSP has always been voted into office because of what? our logo? no. Our proposed policies and platforms are what the people wanted, and that's what we gave them. It's a Democratic system here in eRepublik: Majority Rules.
Lets take a look at some figures
Under the leadership of the ADSP:
January 28 Combined EXP: 63,359
February 21 Combined EXP: 98,066
January 28 Population: 547
February 21 Population: 1,667
January 28 Exports: 11.27
February 21 Exports: 20.56
January 28 Imports: 0.00
February 21 Imports: 0.00
December 30 GDP Rank: 27th
February 21 GDP Rank: 11th (but we've been mostly inside the top 10 since Feb 13)
December 30 Overall Rank: 29th
February 21 Overall Rank: 21st
We're well above 22nd and very close to Pakistan (18th), Argentina (19th) & Germany (20th)
Do you honestly think that Australian would've grown like that if it had a "hands off" government-style?
And about the whole boycott issue, let's take a look at who owns what:
- Down Under Food was warned, and who raised such a fuss? Iwarrior1 - 1/3 who owns 1/3 of the company
- XGE Housing was warned, and who complained? Xaviar Griffith, Owner.
You should always consider the source.
Comments
Ugh. biased to the EXTREME!!!
So what?
Can you point out a article about politics that is truly unbiased?
you know me Derek. lol. i have to comment.
Yup, I know you. I also know you like to talk (you almost put me to sleep w/ your last CP Plank 😛 ).
my last plank was two months ago. and at least i have a detailed plan.
Nice summary. ADSP rocks xD
Our nation's GDP has been in the top 11 for almost 2 weeks now. GDP is a key indicator of nation's economy... finding that balance between taxes, exchange rates and ensuring the markets are well balanced (ie food should be approx 1/2 the price of gifts, Q1 food should be approx 1/2 the price of Q2 food etc).
We've found that balance, which is often regarded as the key to a nation's success.
In GDP rankings, we're closely matched with nations like Spain, Romania, USA, Sweden, Canada, Indonesia, Italy, Hungary & Brazil. These nations are powers or superpowers, suggesting that'd we be regarded as an "emerging power".
Population wise, it actually *hurts* a nations GDP when you boom, as new citizens are less productive and start at an unideal 50 wellness. So for us to be ranked consistently so high *WITH* a population boom, is saying so, so much.
Citizens of eAustralia, I ask you to reward yourselves with a vote towards ADSP. We've done an AWESOME job thus far, so why change things now when we've clearly proven we know the key to success for this nation?
i agree, we should continue the current support for the ADSP, of course, Im a member 😉
by the way vote for me!

Furthermore, regarding our Boycott policy... the threat of a boycott alone has solved "market problems" no less than
1. Q1 food offering inflated wages. GM agreed to lower wages. GM currently has 7 workers.
2. Q1 Moving Tickets offering inflated wages. GM agreed to lower wages. GM currently has 12 workers.
3. Q1 Housing offering inflated wages. GM agreed to lower wages. GM currently has 20 workers.
4. Q1 food companies all followed a rogue low offer. Instead of waiting for the small to be sold quickly (amount was only 20 Q1 food), the bigger, established companies chose not to wait a matter of hours & undercut the price further.. nearly 50% of usual market rate. Contacting all 4 GM's, they all agreed to stop undercutting so aggressively as it will force a Q1 food industry collapse.
5. Q1 & Q2 Gift companies have been advised to stop escalating prices each day simply because their supply is met with demand constantly. All 3 companies returned to more reasonable pricing strategy, offering better value for consumers.
6. 2 Wood Companies we're offering much higher than usual prices, which influenced several other companies to escalate their own prices. All 3 GM's were contacted and agreed to keep a more reasonable pricing strategy, offering better value for companies, and consumers of houses.
7. Several Grain Companies we're offering much higher than usual prices, which influenced several other companies to escalate their own prices. All GM's were contacted and agreed to keep a more reasonable pricing strategy, offering better value for companies, and consumers of food.
Look at the market now, and you'll see affordability. You don't see company GM's posting articles about how they're going under because they can't compete. In the last month, we have THIRTY-EIGHT new companies. In most cases, this spells a massive recession, but ADSP have managed to keep things growing & prospering.
Speaking as an ANP candidate for congress , I have to tell you , I'm not planning to ' pull the plug ' on midicare . However , they have to get their priority's straitened out , and be run more cost effectively .
Bilbarus
The ADSP's medicare is massively overpriced. It's around 3.5 times more expensive as a similar type of program being operated by a private eBusiness in eAustralia plus the private program has greater benefits. ADSP's medicare program is proof that the ADSP are inefficient managers & cost all eAustralian citizens wealth.
I don't know what the AIP or ANP plan to do but I'd hope that they would copy the private program. Even if they didn't do a public-private partnership, copying the private program would either provide 70% cost savings or help 3.5 times the people (plus secondary benefits).
- - - -
Best thing that could occur is that the ADSP (and ACP) are removed from power and be replaced with people who can do these things more efficiently & without a ideological bias threatening gameplay options for Australian citizens.
Hey Bilbarus,
You know how many people qualified for Medicare on last Wed? 47
You know how many actually got gifted? 20 (because we ran out of gifts, both in the Trainer Company and on the open market)
And today you know how many qualified? 33
And the number that received wellness? 33
Now is it just me, or does the trend indicate that the number of those actually requiring wellness actually going down? If people aren't getting enough wellness, then maybe one of the following applies:
A. They're expecting the Government to gift them to 100 Wellness
B. Due to a low skill and/or level, they haven't qualified for it yet (we can't do it to just everybody, they have to come halfway and work everyday)
And finally a question: you say that "they have to get their priority's straitened out , and be run more cost effectively."
How would you recommend we do that? We're always open for input on the system (we may not implement it if it seems ineffective/inefficient- but we do listen), but we can't just change things when all we hear is complaining. We need constructive input.
Biased all the way. Lol. Im not arguing Derek so no comment needed lol. Id win anyway, JK, it be a tie.
Buying up all the available gifts on the market is not only costly , But it plays hell with the laws of supply and demand . And nobody is really sure about the medicare priority's , you have been very tight liped about that .
Bilbarus
"however, I'd be cautious about voting them in, because every member has a different stance on each issue (not that that's a bad thing) - it will be hard to determine where they stand on every issue."
trying to scare off our voters are you?
i have not heard this before, did you really buy up all the gifts on the market? My company (Wc Wood) buys 8 Q1 gifts a day and if there were none on the market it would be very bad.
totally biased
ok, I've changed my disclaimer at the top 😛
Derek Apollyon
PP of the ADSP
lol nice to see the change of disclaimer
Also the ANP has never stated that we will shut down medicare or GTC's, if we are voted into power there will be reforms but they are important social programs.
Remember, were centre right, like your centre left
We never said if you vote for the ADSP they will super regulate the market and invade Poland 😛
and destroy indonesia
interesting read
I am probably not going to vote this month. My reason is that I believe that voting is a privilege for the people to have a say about their government. I don't wish to abuse this privilege while not understanding the political direction of the parties.
Yeh I guess people will say or think "who the f*ck are you noob" but I am going to be honest about these things 🙂
omg noob 😛
actually, just read the manifestoes, and choose who appeals most
ur such a bully taytaz 😛
Manifestoes is such a cold war Commie term. I prefer to look at the actual actions that are undertaken (or attempted) rather than some glossed up words.
I also notice that the ADSP is taking credit for things that they have no effect over (unless they're rigging elections), for instance a increase of population. The ADSP can't take credit for a increase in people into the game & shouldn't take credit for the effects of that.
@ Derek: You wrote " - XGE Housing was warned, and who complained? Xaviar Griffith, Owner."
Actually, to be honest I wasn't WARNED. Patti spoke to me and discussed the issue and about how I would be losing money as the owner by paying the high wages and information along those lines.
Only at the end of the discussion and some serious passing information back and forth regarding how to get the Housing prices lower over all and some assistance with the Company policies did he notify me of the idea of Boycotts.
Never ONCE did he Warn me this would happen, never ONCE did he threaten me with it.
I complained because the idea was, in my opinion, Undemocratic. In fact it was down right COMMUNISTIC, and that's WHY I voiced my concern at the idea and raised the issue in the Senate for Discussion.
Because the ADSP had moved TOO FAR TO THE LEFT.
Actually Derek I was never specifically WARNED about the Boycotts. Patti and I spent around an hour discussing the company and options relating to the wages.
I complained and raised a discussion topic in the SENATE because I believed the ADSP Cabinet had moved TOO FAST TO THE LEFT and was becoming TOO COMMUNISTIC. And the decision to boycott companies was Undemocratic.
thats a good thought Jine, im sad ofcourse, but thats natural coming from me. hope u find ur political alignment in due time m8 🙂
