Football World Cup
Red Duck
I got this message.
"Hi people,
I would like to organize first football World Cup game in eRepublik. I think that it could be a big attraction in eRepublik and after the first World Cup game in Poland, another country could organize it (for example winners of the previous World Cup).
To play in world cup the country must pay for example 5 gold and the donated gold will go to the winners account or the country account.
We could play by netsoccer (www.netsoccer.biz), why? Its simple, players are playing for themselves so each player must train to gain team-play skills for the World Cup.
Each team-capitan could create a team like: Poland eRepublik, Sweeden eRepublik, USA eRepublik etc.
Only Country President will be able to declare the country to play in the World Cup and they will choose the country representation (5 + people to the game reserve because not everyone might be online, the changes are permitted).
What do you think about it?"
So is there someone interested?

Good idead, but I dont think that 22 citizens can agree on the time of match. There will always be someone that has to do something else or dont have time etc., and in the end we´ll end up with incomplete team just before start of the match and that would be embarrasing.
From message I understand that there is needed 5+
Nice idea...and 5 golds for all country or only for one player... .
5 for country
Great idea - sounds fun...
Now who's going to organise an eRepublik version of Eurovision???
FK
Franz Kafka: You can sing?
sounds good. ive read a bit about eFootball, it was some Turkish league played through Football Manager 09 or 08, on the boards, and the idea seem to have many positive responses and enthusiasm all around it. After all international conflicts should be decided in a game of football not in wars 😉

So who wants be part of Czech team?
I´m going to play, sign me...
I guess I could play, however, honestly I'm in no position to make promises several weeks or months ahead of events to take place. So maybe it would be better to count me for warming up the bench.
