v1 Congress System Flawed.

I wanted to post this yesterday, but realised that doing so could of allowed for some really bad rule bending.
The way the current system in v1 works is there are now automatically 40 congress places, the top people first with the most votes, then people with matching votes, ordered by experiance, then become Congressmen.
Strategicly done there is no reason why a larger party shouldnt and couldnt dominate Congress without too much problems. All in theory they would have to do is get each candidate to vote themselves, and then those with low exp add an extra vote, infact 2 votes would be al that is needed to secure a seat in eIreland.
Now, I beleive several partys realised this yesterday but not til it was too late, a huge example of how this could of worked, had the Party Leader of been more understanding of the mechanics of v1 is IUP. Irish Union Party received 41% of the vote, and holds 21% of Congress, so many votes were wasted on Igor, where as a little realisation and then communication to his party members would of easily seen IUP take 50% of Congress.
This system is stupidly flawed for smaller countrys, its fine for a large country with over 1000 people, but congress seats should be counted based on number of votes not a fixed number, having the number fixed can and will allow for some serious strategic planning if the Party and its leaders are both smart enough, and can communicate well.
This must be changed! Please Vote this article and get it seen, as I fear come next Congress elections, its nothing more than the most active party wins, rather than a proper voting system.

That is in fact untrue.
Immediately when I logged on yesterday I called for people to stop voting for me. Unfortunately all IUP members I could contact had already voted. I then doubled my votes by last night.
It would appear that I got a lot of non party votes which I couldn't really ask to vote for someone different since I didn't know who they were...
Many of us realised how the v1 congress elections worked a good few days ago, and alerted our members to this, why do you think IFP managed to get everyone who was up for election into congress?
Forward planning, understanding of the game mechanics and most importantly, having communication with your party members is what makes a good leader.
You didnt even discuss things with your party, you only posted not to vote for you until late evening yesterday, when you already had the majority of your votes. This clearly showed that you hadnt thought about the elections, and how you could get the maximum number of members into congress, insted you focused on getting votes for yourself for most of the day, dont say you didnt, a few days ago you sent out a mail asking all IUP to vote for you, notice how other partys didnt?
Either way, what im pointing out, is that its a flawed system, one which if it doesnt change will see IUP taking over most of congress come the next election.
Totally agreed with 5n4keyes, coordination is as important as number of members... FF is the 4th party as number of members but second in number of contressmen 🙂
This little testosterone storm you and Igor have going is getting wearisome. It makes both of you look like quarreling children...."you started it...no you did! I know you are, but what am I?"
Take it elsewhere, gentlemen, please!
I agree with mac_talla.
Yes, seriously, I agree with mac_talla as well. This is just some stupid little game being taken far too seriously. You should not argue so fiercely over things that truly do not matter. I understand you are trying to act as politicians do, but you do not have to make it so personal. In the end, all this argument simply makes you look stupid and childish, which logically I would think would make you lose votes.
On the point of the game mechanics, however, I agree. The system should be changed to make the game more reasonable and thus more enjoyable.
