Lincoln, Nebraska- With the recent announcement that the release date of V1 will be between October 1st and 15th it is time for us to start preparing for the end of the beta stage. As most of you probably already know V1 is going to have some major changes in it in the way things work. It is likely that there will be some bugs at first but once the kinks get worked out the game will be much more complex and eventful. In this article I will describe some of the up coming additions and what we can expect.
Fight for Freedom- Commonly referred to as FFF, the fight for freedom module has been something people have been waiting for since the release of the war module. Basically it will give nations who have become extinct the right to rebel and give them a chance at being resurrected. Some people believe that regions that have not been taken over and that belonged to a certain country by default will have the ability to revolt and break off. This is not true, with the release of V1 there will be no way to start a new country by revolting, you may only revive an old one.
In order to start a revolt someone will have to pay a certain amount of gold to start up the revolution. The revolting army would take the attackers role and people could fight from anywhere in the nation not just the rebelling region. This will be interesting to watch as they are likely to make some other changes to the war module.
Mutual Protection Pacts- To break up the large alliance blocs the admins have changed the way the mutual protection pact system will work. In V1 they will cost gold from both countries (the amount has yet to be revealed) and will have an expiration date. This will require a much more involved foreign policy. They will also have the ability to initiate an embargo against other nations.
More Congressional Powers- The admins plan to give more power to congress in V1 to encourage activity. Currently congress can only vote on proposals, with the new additions they would be able to make their own proposals and be able to vote on things other then just tax and war proposals.
No More Mayors- Seeing as mayors never did much the admins have decided to give them the ax for now. People often say that mayors do a lot of things and that local governments are necessary when in reality they are not. The game is based on national economies right now and outside of hospitals nothing is region exclusive. Some mayors have gifting and hosing programs but these are not official mayoral duties and people can still do them just as easy without being mayor. The ability to buy hospitals would be transferred to the president.
New Layout- Basically things are just going to be laid out differently and the site will have a different look.
New Inventory restrictions- For the first month of V1 all of the veterans will have 50 units of storage in their inventory. After that it is likely to go down to 10 for everyone. Although 10 is a small number you will be able to get by you just won't be able to stock up as much. If you can limit yourself to two or three weapons and moving tickets you will have more the enough room for food it will just require you to be more active. You will also have the ability to donate items.
Raw Materials- Not much has been mentioned about this yet but they will be added to the game. Basically owners of finished products companies will need to start purchasing raw materials from a raw materials company in order to complete their product. That is about all we know right now.
Applications- Basically instead of having unofficial SO's to hold your companies, Banks, lotteries, and other things you will now be able to have an application for that which would make your company easier to manage and remove the need for the SO. It will also open the door for more complex items such as the stock market.
Well thats just some of the new features we can expect in V1. There are somethings I did not get around to but those are some of the most notable things. Also keep in mind the introduction of raw materials may lower your salary since your employer has to buy the materials now.

Thank to the Gods that this article was not being \"A Slow look at V1\"
Jackly\'s brain hurts.
\"Mutual Protection Pacts- To break up the large alliance blocs the admins have changed the way the mutual protection pact system will work. In V1 they will cost gold from both countries (the amount has yet to be revealed) and will have an expiration date.\"
This is retarded.
The alliance blocs are what make it interesting.
Warfare, that is.
And the fact the skill in indutries is now called \'\'services\'\'
Not at all. Large alliances are the failure of the game.
This is \'citing
10 unit storage = more inflation and happiness for food producer to keep high prices, idiot idea, i dont want to be FORCED to buy food almost every day if i want to keep a stash of 3 weapon and 2 tickets...its silly idiot, period
\"No More Mayors- Seeing as mayors never did much\"
In eSpain they did a lot... It spiced up politics and it was a good way to start a political career.
@ Mal: Hey cousin!!
New inventory system seems pretty fail
@ sweet group
every 5 days is not almost every day. The Supply will be the same along with the demand its just people will not go out and buy 30 at a time.
What about soldiers abroad? 😕 This is going to be uncomfortable. eSpanish Ravens used to carry along plenty of weapons, gifts and HQ food from the motherland while abroad.
What i\'m not happy about is the removal of mayors. Giving the President the power to buy hospitals essentially gives the Federal government exclusive power of the country. That is kind of stupid. Unless the powers of congress are widely expanded and include the ability to REFUSE a proposal to build a new hospital in a specific region, what I said above would be a reality. Those of us who prefer a more decentralized confederate style government in the eUSA will be boxed out. Also, in the article, what did you mean by veterans? People who have played the beta version, or people who have played the beta version for a certain amount of time? I think the revolution add is cool, it allows people to kind of organize and carry out insurgencies in countrys that have been taken over by foreign powers.
Congress can refuse a hospital
Congress can vote against anything proposed by the president, that included war, trade embargos, hospitals, secret agencies, MPPs, trade, only not peace.
Steven as you will learn with time local governments and regions never really served much of a purpose. The thing with mayors is that there is nothing for them to really do at the moment, I mean they can help get new people jobs but you don\'t need to be a mayor to do that. The changes will acctually give congress more power over the president so it is not like the president is getting too much power.
By veterans I mean people who signed up before the switch to v1
I think that everyone should check this article out.

So Much for being Mayor, if elected.
Do you know if SOs will still exist then?
Rillian, they will create a new entity to take over for SOs. So you won\'t need a different account.
10 item in total....i show you in case of war:
2 moving ticket
2/3 weapons
2/3 food
2/3 gifts...
thats all...how can you make campaign i alreayd have in my inventory 6 weapons q4...how can i change them...i also have 10 q3 weapons..i was geared for war admin stopped...and now?
have i to go war with 2 tickets, and..no space left for anyhting else since i cant trash expensive q4 weapons of course....
at beginning the 50 slots will help...but i hope war will be un blocked SOON
i hope the inventory is increased to like 20. 10 is a little small.
I agree at least 15 as a compromise. 10 slots is simply a joke.
I\'m curious about what will happen to the money currently in the treasuries of all the cities in the game. Players have donated considerable amounts to their local treasury towards purchasing a hospital, will that be in vain if they have not hit their goal and purchased a hospital before V1?
The money will probably be moved to the national treasury.
I had thought the 10 item thing was 10 for each type, as it is now 30 for each. If it\'s just 10... I have over two dozen Q2 Weapons. >_> Will have to really soldier up when V1 comes, I guess.
Word on the Forum is that the new Construction Industry will be something for the military. Speculation includes anything from Barracks to Armory.
@ Spaulding II
This will be one of the nice additions regarding the election of Congressman. Congressman can gather your vote by promising to help secure your region a hospital if possible.. campaigning just got important.
Somehow, I have over 40 weapons in my inventory. I wonder if this is going to change come V1 XD
@ Inferno
I think 10 of each type would be good but I don\'t think that is what they will do since they said people who are going to be around during the switch will start out with 50 slots.
Well, I understand that Mayor\'s couldn\'t do too much, but I don\'t understand how they did enough harm for them to be axed from the game. Now it just seems like less people can get actively involved in politics as you will now only have congressmen and the president up for election. But either way, I\'ll take my pink slip and ponder running for congress when the time comes.
???
vOteD anyway
I like it all except the Mayor issues....Local governments need MORE power not less.
hrmm the inventory thing is still whats throwing me \"10 slot limit\" is a vague way of depicting things, and saying we (veterans ; preV1) get a temporary 50slot limit further confuses and dilutes things. The way i see it it can only be taken 2 ways, each \"slot\" being a stackable type/quality of an item. and each slot will probably cap at 10? or 30 as it does now, so then you could have Q1-5food in 5 slot, Q1-5 gifts in another 5 slots, and so on and so forth, that would in theory take up those \"fifty slots\".
If they were only giving us 10 item slots like in some rpg with a limited inventory it is like Terrance said. 3 days worth of food, 2 gifts, 2 weapons, 2 moving tickets, and a house? i mean it doesn\'t make much sense
i hope they clear things up soon;
ohwell only a few weeks till we know first hand
hrmm, well on further examination of the screen shot. it will be as terrance was suggesting, it will be only 10 slots.. >_> 4 Q4 food, 2Q2 gifts, 1Q3 house, and 3Q3Weapons and you\'re done
The 10 slot would be bad especially for solders that go out of the borders and need to stack themselves up with food and weapons.
So is v.1 going to reset everything for beta users or will we continue where we\'re currently at?
Hi great article, @MAV1C no your progress and achievements will be transferred to V1
@alexis - thanks!
wish we had a straight answer on what will happen to the city treasury once V1 is released.
Good,thank you !!!
