Huey Wins! Spam wins! UK wins!
Mr Immanuel Kant
The Country President election is over and it is obvious to me Huey won, Spamicans won and the whole eUK won.
firstly, Huey has won the Presidential election but he is not the only winner this month. This month the real winner is activity. In an election in which nobody expected it to be as close as it was Huey kept his position by a handful of votes. It is undeniable that this is a victory for Huey and the TUP/UKRP/WRP coalition. I wish Huey and his cabinet well as they begin a new term. There might have been some nerve racking hours during the election but Huey should be very pleased to have emerged as the victor.
Secondly, Nobody can deny this election has been a victory for the Spamicans as they massively outperformed all expectations to come within a whisker of winning the Presidency. This election campaign also marks them formally taking the place as the UK's second largest political party. Already the question is being asked can TRS actually win next month? A tremendous election campaign and one which AMD should be very proud of.
Finally, this election the whole of the eUK won. In my last article I outlined why I joined the spamicans and spoke of the importance to have variety and choice during elections. Since the emergence of TRS month on month activity has increased across the UK, some vote against them many vote for them but the most important thing is that people are voting.
Last month 73 people voted which was an increase from last month this month 87 people cast their vote. This is unarguable evidence (watch the comment section argue against) that variety produces activity.
Look at the media, when I left a few months ago it was dead and empty a phone hacking scandal would have been more interesting. But now the media is full, quizzes, manifestos, political articles. I don't care who you are (really I'm a narcissist I could not care less about you), I don't care what party you are in, Whoever you are this month you won.
This just goes to show whatever you do this game is good. Years ago people worshiped Dio (the weirdos anyway) in these days there is only one true God (other than Jebas). In Everything we do we must praise the God Activity, Whatever you do may it increase activity.
Genuinely a thrilling election! Two great results. Active media, active voters this is what having friendly competition in the game can achieve.
In Activity,
MIK

hahahaha, it's good, we're still playing - so it's not all that dark
activity is good
Spam is vibrant spam is diverse
Love the vibe, I was thinking about leaving the game (people have like 400.000 strenght) how can I compete, and yet I remained only because of the community.
Stay spamositive
If you look at the last election you would have expected it to be close. The anti Huey vote was 5 votes less than Huey's, but the Goats ran a candidate which split that vote making Huey's majority 14
Huey's majority this time was 3 this represents Huey +6 anti Huey +8 from last time so the increase in the Spam vote was almost matched by the increase in Huey's coalition.
So this does not represent an 'unexpectedly' close race nor did 'the Spamicans massively outperform all expectations'
In the most recent Congress election Spamicans got 25 votes and Goats got 9 so if all the goats voted for the spamicans (big if) you would expect us to have around 34 votes.
Meanwhile TUP - 25 votes, UKRP - 15 votes and WRP - 8 votes which gives a total of 48 votes.
Based on the congress election only a few days ago we have massively closed the gap. Many people voted for AMD outside of the Spamicans (and goats). This was an exceptional result for us, every month the momentum seems to be building.
Hope this clarifies my reasoning
It makes more sense to compare it with the last CP election which would have indicated a much closer result rather than comparing apples and pears. I am trying to give an objective analysis rather than putting a spin on things.
Amazing voting.
