I will rather take pragmatic government, thank you very much!

Greetings, citizens of Netherlands,
with all the sudden pre-election fuzz started by Shawtyl0w, let me state a few words on the topic as well. While the articles of Shawtyl0w call for either a magical politician or someone, who will bring revolution, I believe, what Netherlands needs is a government of pragmatism.
To quote: Pragmatism emphasizes the practical application of ideas by acting on them to actually test them in human experiences.
And that is,exactly what half-dead country like Netherlands needs. We do not need loud ideologists, who will repeat and yell constantly "Old is good!" "Change is needed!" "This is the only right thing to do!" "No, this is better!", throwing words and ideas at each other, but ultimately achieve nothing. Words and ideas are not going to feed anyone at the end of the day. We need government that will work. Government that will do something. Government that is not afraid to make a mistake and that is not afraid to try various solutions for our problems, and then keep the best one and maintain it for the future. Government, which will focus on practical things, instead of theory.
And sure, being pragmatic sounds boring. Pragmatists cannot afford to make audacious claims, which they know cannot be practically achieved. When you are idealist, you can promise heaven and hell to people... but will you truly be able to deliver, when your promises are not based on reality, but on theory?
So... yeah... let's think for a minute, if a wave of pragmatism should be something to pursue in our common future.

Hail pragmatism!
I support
Interesting thoughts. I think we miss pragmatism but idealism as well, though. An idealist promises heaven on earth and may succeed or not - but when was the last time a Country President was even promising, theorizing or dreaming? A pragmatist acts as he goes, but when was the last time a Country President used circumstances to his benefit instead of running behind while the boat has already passed?
I think you forgot the third side of the triangle, being traditionalist. Don't change things up because they've worked greatly in the past (supposedly). I'd rather have an idealist with lurid goals or a pragmatist that rules as if eNL is his personal demesne ignoring the procedural rules than yet another ''manager'' that keeps the business running in a bare-boned fashion in expectation of its eventual liquidation, which is kinda the hip fad in eNL currently.
I think this month we did pretty well? Actions with regards to the update. Disagree?
I think in general this month has seen some life in the eNetherlands yes and people & gov doing/discussing things, so it's certainly an improvement 😃.
Pragmatic approach certainly is the way to go. Several gov's tried to do so albeit mostly very low in activity and only keeping the TW with Can alive which to my knowledge was completely managed by Can so no work to be done there perhaps maybe by MoF who has to manage the tax return. But even that I doubt tbh.
Pragmatism in NL however has one main problem which is a bureaucratic institute kept alive by a small minority with all the powers they have there which made a lot of players quit the game or being active in Gov or other official functions. That created a deadlock situation years ago. With pragmatism easily solved but not in NL with that institute in place 🙁
egotism spreads throughout this article...
Hey Janty..... GREECE hahahahhahaha
Thanks for the use of the GREEK word "pragmatic" I wish you could understand what does it mean!
