We all are see'ing this in the resource war a country like Serbia getting 26 tokens and allocating 1.
Ireland is now at 11 and have placed none.
Romania having 8 versus Uk's 2 battles ongoing managed in a few minutes ( ゚o゚) to pass the UK at 20 domination points left and win saltpeter a rare wrm resource.
It was literally a snail race to the end UK on 20 Romania on 10. Good work?
Anyway back on topic. We also see each countries CP/dictator basically with a small group of men deciding on the fate of their nations. Little Julius Ceasars prancing around delighted in their sublime strategy of waiting till the last 5 minutes to allocate a resource that they have announced in massively voted up articles they are going for.
Big tycoons walking up and down cursing and swearing as genuinely why do this?
Why wait till the last 5 minutes to announce intentions that you have discussed?
Strategy? Strategy my 2 stinking feet. There is no strategy in this idiocy. If another nation wants the same resource as you and the other 10 or so competitors on the board they will go hard for it like you will. How you defined your allocation beforehand is immaterial. So why require CP'S /Dictators to be online 24 hours a day to toggle switches.
I assume most want atleast full WRM in one region. They can perhaps throw 3 very rare and a rare in the other region. Problem solved. Or whatever. But setting a well defined target is for me more important So that people who is not necessarily in your "dampkring" meaning the IRC page you setup knows what resources are we going for and when.
Forget about idiot ideas like people will throw your walls over to stop you. At the moment there is just to many competitors and even when there is less they might just anyway do it.
Its like I have 4 necklaces a iron one a bronze one a silver one and a gold one diamonds on. I go to 100 woman and tell them 1 of them can win one of the necklaces by writing their name and choice on a piece of paper and throwing it in a box. I think we all know what their choice will be. We all know basically what each CP is gunning for or a bit of investigation will tell us the answer.
But Julius Ceasar life in this eWorld where he assumes people have no intelligence. No they wont be able to figure out I'm going for the same resource as him. This is nothing but a time rally your opponents give a hoot about what your going for they must time their own battles using their full force to the exact second. They would anyway introduce counter measures whatever is on your board. There is probably programs working out a probabilistic run in using all variables. They have countless bot operators able to keep the wall at the exact second to the right side.
So please just play open cards eff further strategic elements. Its not like Serbia 's walls could be easily pushed over is it.
Regions will be filled we might or might not get the resource we want when we want it. But silly strategies will contribute not a iota of success to your overall result.
They say the reason for Donald Trump's popularity is that he is not a politician that people are sick of politicians just playing political games and making promises they know they are never going to keep in other words lie'ing. This is an online game most of you are not even good at this politics sh*. So adapt common sense approaches to problems. K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. Write several stubs before you write the full program. Always play the obvious shot(my pool philosophy) Never play a negative game if your positive game is 200% better than your opponent. You can always switch back to playing negative if your behind. And my dear Maximalus Dio if your ideas of the game has become so convoluted with day to day political concepts than actual daily working and fighting get people in to help you with common sense crap. Damnit. I can only write this article to sway your approach thereafter I am done. But you can actually eff it up entirely for your whole nation? Remember we will have a choice the midnight train is one of them outta here may mean every tycoon in your country making a 5 minute assessment and moving to the best country per resource /tax haven.

exactly but the country decides the bonuses. its about the money or making more of the money. and seems some countries do not grasp everything yet meaning we get less money.

The rules are dumb but that doesn't mean that you can't be better than the others and win.Don't blame it on imaginary bots when you can't even be bothered to try to compete.
Serbia has 1 res because it intentionally passed on a bunch and is not even trying for the good resources. You can't win a race if you don't even participate.In 10 mins there is grain and Serbia could have tried for it with minimal effort ,lets see if it can be bothered to.
Serbia can never get its sh1t together and always underperforms in any and all events, that's the problem you should be worried about.

Actually there is, we can only have 8 resources in total ( number of original regions). I missed that at first too and though the limit is 4 per region, nothing else.
Plato , as always, is not providing even the most vital info needed here so it is impossible for us to know what's the best strategy. We need to know the productivity formula (including pollution) and we need to know what the new industry is. But we don't so we'll have to gamble.
We don't even know if a region's productivity will matter at all or if the new industry will render weapons useless.
Seems reasonable at this point to aim for a weapons region and discard food. Won't list the reasons now. Beyond that we can't pick limestone so no house rare and hard to say if we should go for house only or house + new industry.
Every country with 5 regions can have all the resources available with smart play. You can place very rare resources next to each other if they are of a different type, so having one region for weapons, one for food, one for houses, one for new tech and one for the, for example, very common resources is quite possible. Sure, it is hard to achieve that, but far from impossible. You can have 4 resources per territory. Even countries with 4 territories can have most of the resources if they play the game well and have enough domination points.
And to get the resource you have to get a token seconds after the resource in question becomes available. That's not easy to achieve, for sure, but wasting tokens because resources aren't cool enough is plain stupid. If you don't use the token when you get it, it is lost forever, that's what the rules say. You can't trade them nor save them for later, so not using tokens is idiotic unless you already have all the resources and are waiting for the last several resources and don't have more than 5 territories.
If you've read thoroughly Plato's forum posts, the only variable is what the heck is the new industry. Everything else has been explained before the contest. Sure, it's not clear as day, but it is also well explained if you take a minute or two to browse the entire post and see all of the answers. Which shouldn't be important for non-gov people, but people in the government should have done their homework.
Yes, we also don't know how the pollution grows. We do know how it affects the production (the productivity formulas are published), but it is unknown if 10 works last day would get 1% pollution or 10M works last day would get 1% pollution. I'm guessing admins don't know that yet either and will publish the actual pollution formula later. Still it changes nothing unless you are USA with tons of regions which most countries are not.
Where are the productivity formulas? Only a % of the region's prod matters, do you know how big is that % is? Could be 90% or 10%, and pollution offsets it further.
A Country can not assign more resources than the number of its historical (original) regions or 4 (if they have less historical regions).

they answered most of your questions in a separate update :questions and answers. we do know the formula its seems country production will remain the same region will count a percentage(obviously to nerf or increase it later) and will be added to the country production a percentage will be deducted for pollution. we dont know exact figures but wrm would be better . most big tycoons is invested in weapons. by selecting 1 weapon resource your basically saying f* you to 100% of tycoons. there maybe a big emigration and power shift to spain because of the short -sightedness of the serbian cabinet,
