[CP] Hraní si s daněmi/Playing with taxes [CZ/EN]
Janty F
Janty F

Dear citizens,
today, I was persuaded by our MoD to look at setting of our taxes. We had a discussion and we came up with a conclusion, that one thing should be changed immediately. What is it?
Let's look at our taxes right now:
I'm not going to talk about Work tax or VAT right now, as I have only one tiny problem there. More important are now Import Taxes. You will notice we have 99% four times, and 15% two times. When it comes to Food and Raw materials, I think it is reasonable, because we have a lot of cheap products on our market. But when it comes to weapons and houses, the situation is much worse. Our weapons are one of the most expensive in the eWorld! And the lack of domestic producers leads to the fact that our market is run by smugglers, who can afford to set higher prices.
Although this model might work for some people, in most of the small countries is the trend completely opposite. Just see, which countries have 99% Import tax on weapons:
With the exception of PTO-ed Singapore and Serbian New Zealand, these are all big countries with big domestic weapon market on their own. These countries do not need to import weapons. But smaller countries do. And most of them have an Import tax only 1%, or atleast below 5%, so that they support the weapon market and teach citizens to shop on domestic market.
That's why I would like to propose a first change in our taxes, and watch its impact (or non-impact) for the next few days. I propose to lower Import tax for weapons and houses on 4%. I think this step will not hurt our economy, and it may even help it in the long run, especially if it will be followed by other changes.
I'd like to know your opinion as well, and that's why I ask you a question: How do you evaluate our weapon market? Do you like the current smugglers model, or do you go buy your weapons abroad? Would you like to see more foreign sellers on our market?
And a question for everybody: How do you think the taxes in small country should look like?
Please, feel free to share your answers and questions here, I'll discuss them wth you, before I sent this proposal to the Congress.
Yours
Janty F

lower the taxes on weapon, food, weapon raw and food raw to 1% and keep the taxes on houses and house raw materal as high as you can because weak citizens dont buy houses or produce them.
We have enough food and raw on our market and the prices are not that bad... but those weapons are really killing me. Also, since nobody in this country produces houses (and few of them actually buys them), I'm never sure what to do with taxes there...
Focus on providing food and weapon to your citizens at competitive prices, keep taxes on houses to as high as possible as it is a luxury item not a basic need.
Increase work tax to 5%
That would never get through the Congress 😃 . Right now though, we are one of the cheapest countries in the world when it comes to managerwork,, so a smaller increase could maybe be justifiable.
that will apply on average salary, if you have higher salary than 5% would be high otherwise its low and standard for most countries. you can consider 4 but lowers than that will cause trouble because you will have to manage cash inflow too.
Increase import tax and VAT on house to 75%
Increase all tax 😃
3🙂 😃
Jenom jedna otazka. Jak jsi prisel zrovna na 4 procenta?
Já nevím, snížit to hned na 1% mi přišlo moc hrr a 5% bylo moc mainstream... číslo se samozřejmě může dle potřeby změnit 😃 .
If we have domestic production of houses we should protect it with higher taxes.
But do we have players who have factories in our country?
If answer is NO, we should cut taxes and try to earn some money here at our market.
Daily income is ridiculous low and we should copy / paste tax politic from Australia or Japan.
With right moves in short period we could double our income and that would be good for now.
I doubt people produce houses here... but it would be interesting to find out, how many people in this country actually buys houses/tanks/whatever, so that we know what to do next, after we fix this giant weapon import tax. I'm thinking about making Google survey and you would give citizens tanks for filling it (instead of plain donations). That way, we could gather some info and make decisions based on that. How about that 🙂 ?
Also, I wouldn't necessarily copy Australia (I think they use a sh*t load of private money there)., but countries like Israel, Belgium or Montenegro (or even Japan) could help us to see, what a small independent nation does with its taxes. I personally neglected this for a long time and I feel ashamed now.
Together, we will try to create healthy domestic market!
That's all i can ask 🙂
Import Q6 weapons pls
That's also part of a plan.
Lowering the import tax on weapons sounds reasonable.
za současného stavu souhlasím s návrhem. Také často raději nakupuji zbraně v zahraničí
