[CAF] News and Updates
TheSmoke
Today I am announcing several updates, changes and improvements to the Canadian Armed Forces. With my background in the CAF stretching back to my first days in this game, I have certainly become well accustomed with this MU. I am a CAF soldier for life, and wish to continue keeping this family strong and energetic. After many months of holding the position of Commander, I have come to the conclusion that a few things shall be address and changed.
One of the most important things to any community in eRep has to be the people. We all play this game for some sort of enjoyment, and in order to get that, many of us require a group of people to relate with, communicate, have fun, and work towards a common goal. I believe that in order to achieve a strong community, we must remain active and committed. That is why these first two rules will be enforced immediately.
1) A CAF avatar must be worn by all soldiers, failure to do so will result in your removal from the MU. Canadian Armed Forces Regulations & Code of Conduct, Chapter 3, 3.03-I
2) A Soldier must fight a minimum of once every 10 days. Canadian Armed Forces Regulations & Code of Conduct, Chapter 3, 3.03-II
There will be exceptions to these rules as long as notice is given prior to any absences. I know some may feel this to be harsh, however a community needs to remain active in order to be healthy. Now I know some people have trouble being able to fight everyday due to the cost of moving, weapons, and food, but one out of 10 days is not asking a lot.
This rolls into my next announcement, which is supplies. Currently the Canadian government is not funding our MU’s, and to be honest, I don’t see that changing within the near future. This is fine as we have all managed to do without funding for the past 8 months. None the less, I will be introducing daily supplies to all of our soldiers. The supply method will involve filling out a quick Google Form, where I will personally record all submissions, and hand out supplies in a timely fashion. Every soldier can request daily supplies, where they will receive 5 Q7 weapons, and 500 Energy.
There will still be Combat Orders Available for CAF members only, however the MU Account will be primarily used for high priority battles where soldiers will be required to fight immediately, and thus paid instantly.
I have also been working on revising the Regulations and Code of Conduct agreement, to better clarify soldier requirements, rights and roles and CAF High Command rules. So stay tuned for more updates there!

Only once every ten days? I thought we were supposed to be the two clickers?
Oh don't worry, Nights Watch still holds that position with a strong lead!
I think our National MU should up it's standards. Once every ten days is way too lax. If an MU that doesn't get weapons supplied every day is beating you in activity, you got problems that need fixing.
If we qualify as National MU because we have Canada in our name, and received funding years ago, then ok... However we have received the same funding as everyone else for a long time now, and that being 0$. With doing the stats, the CAF has a higher percentage of fighters than the NW every day for the past week. We have also done more damage per soldier then NW for 5 out of the 7 days. So with stricter rules, and more support for our soldiers, I can only presume we will continue to beat you.

Congratulations to the CAF on almost taking first in the rankings yesterday! With the size difference, that's a huge achievement.
Thanks buddy, for us to be able to compete along side you guys like that is pretty sweet, as COI has long proven why it deserves the top spot in Canada!
The new supply program you've developed, plus these new regulations should close the gap. After all, CoI being the largest, also attracts the largest two-clicking element so our size, doesn't always equate to true hitting power.
kills dont mean all that much and with a rule of "once every 10 days" the impact that matters "influence or damage" wont add up to much
I always thought regulations and a code of conduct holds the CAF back but good luck, TheSmoke is the guy to turn the CAF around to its former glory days
Yea kills aren't the deciding factor, influence is, like you said. Yesterday we had a lot influence, but these tournaments really skew things from every other day fighting. As for the new rules, I hope that it will create a more active and closer community, and if so, should hopefully bring in prospective fighters and soldiers who will contribute more. Can't stay stagnant!
Thanks buddy
Q7's, nice! but expensive.
