Review of a deal gone bad
Alias Vision
Sequence of events:
-Albania proposes India for an air strike (AS).
-AS of Gujarat commences.
-Albanian Foreign Affairs team contacts Indian CP. They want to stress two points. Number one, there is no ill will between Albania and India, in fact they wish us the best. Number two, they are willing to offer a deal for the region of Gujarat.
-The original deal as proposed by the Albanian side is as follows: Gujarat for 30k cc/month to be paid between the 26th and 28th of each month. Additionally, mediation between India and Croatia for the purpose of a region return and securing of Congress.
-The Croatia component of the deal holds very little appeal. For one thing, the previous CP Hamturk had already negotiated the return of 10 regions which if respected would have secured Congress already. A counter is sent asking for 30k cc/month but also the full and vocal support of Albania once India attempts to liberate the Pakistani held regions.
-The deal is agreed by both sides, Albania asks us to publish it minus the Pakistan provision so as not to unnecessarily alert the other side.
-Albania takes control of Gujarat with minimal interference once the message passes down the line appropriately.
-The deal, as published, is immensely unpopular in both countries. In fact, for some special interests it is completely unacceptable in any form. Accusations fly.
-Albania wishes to have two regions to further secure their Congress. They go to Croatia to negotiate the release of Maharashtra to them, bypassing the Indian Government.
-Albania informs Indian CP of the Maharashtra deal. Indian CP expresses clearly that this is not acceptable. If Albania wants to expand the deal in any way, shape or form, they need to honour their initial bargain first as a sign of good faith. Albanian side says they have no choice.
-Communications breakdown.
-Maharashtra is returned through RW to India in preparation for Albania moving in.
-Indian Congress proposes Albania as NE through rogue proposal.
-Albania immediately considers the agreement with India to be null and void.
-Pakistan and Albania propose a pact of cooperation, brand Indians traitors.
-Insults and cross-accusations occur.
-Indian NE proposal passes, Government and Congress not cooperating.
-Overtures made to Albanian side to see what, if anything can be salvaged. The answer is no as they consider the Indian side only to be at fault.
I have provided this sequence of event with minimal commentary. Critics and trolls... have fun! A little gift from me to you on a slow news cycle.

I am still new here but I keep my eyes and ears open. One lesson I draw is that a country must have ONE foreign policy at a time and, ideally, ONE foreign policy over a period of time. This is Negotiation 101. Other countries need to know that they are dealing with someone they can rely on over time, not that one CP will be contradicted or undermined by Congress or others. Ideally, a new president, instead of being hypercritical of predecessors, would try to maintain a steady, evolving foreign policy, not one that zigs and zags. I hope that, in the future, we will try to support whoever is CP for their time in office, offer constructive criticisms and alternatives in our internal discussions, but not send confusing signals to others.

Well that solution came quite easily! I hope the deal with Albania serves eIndia with the same mutual benefits as the one with Croatia."
~~It is my belief that treaties and any grand acts of cooperation are becoming increasingly difficult in this game in general. Not sure why exactly, except that 'communication breakdowns' are a more common issue on the game as things become more simplified and monetized. Maybe the solution is to pull back, minimalize one's exposure to risks, and keep it simple to avoid misunderstandings and trolls. Many govts, appear to be less transparent in their operations, perhaps related to all this.
Anyway, keep an eye on eCanada over the next few weeks as it tests the troubled waters of floating a treaty. Should be entertaining.
Interesting observations, Plugson.
I saved the best for last. It's been fun & o7.
Best of luck with you next ventures, AV.
what allies we have ? why we have so less or weak allies ?
they never help becuz your leadership is too weak or poor to negotiate anything
The problem is: Croatia is Pro-CoT. BIH is pro TWO. EDEN is dead. Asgard and NaN are closer to TWO. -> all your enemies are in the major alliances and you can't do something

Asgard closer to TWO? Lol'd good
and Alias bro..it wasn't your fault, no one else could have done better in this situation. you tried the best !
It is always a bad idea to have a deal with weak countries like eAlbania, etc. It is useless to have any deal with countries like eCroatia as they are known deal breaker and backstabber. So, no deal please and it is ok if we don't have Congress. Organize RW's and be pain in the butt of all these occupiers when they have important wars going on.
EAlbania dosen't seems weak....atleast they are stronger then us............
rest all agreed ....just become the pain in there S when they are in wars !
Dictatorship Party supports your views
How do you see Albania as a weak country? xD
eAlbania is a weak country but does have good support from others. They are always struggling in the past to secure their region (even now) and eIndia has supported them a lot in the old days.
backstabbers......
we have Bulgaria, Belarus, FYROM with us...still we can't wipe out Albanians & Pakis from our soil .....strange !
or is it we are the only one fighting for them !
and they dont care !
Our allies do help us whenever possible but have less allies. Ultimately we have to take fighting in our hand with better coordination. We can be pain for at least some of the occupiers if we fight to our potential.
but we have : Turkey,USA,Croatia,Greece,Argentina.. etc
Albania is not a deal breaker country, but India is who NE first Albania..
You are absolutely right that you have more powerful allies at this time otherwise you could not have AS eIndia. Our government did a mistake to accept deal when you have already AS us. How can you give the deal when you have already AS us. It is just a game this is your time and our time will also come. If this game was interesting then we would have been leader in this game but unfortunately this game sucks, you know it.

well we trusted albania...we didn't notice the fact that their FA in charge is actually a pakistani and ignored the chances that they might have deals with Pak before landing on India..
They would all be probably having a good laugh at trolling us one more time 😛
They carefully bought time to prevent us from RWing them by shoving 30k cc which few of us gladly chewed on. Then went behind our back made deals with croatia to give them another region to secure themselves and signed NAP with pakistan, in spite of making false promises that they would rather be helping us fight Pakistan and liberate our region.
All the while the govt. played the role of an innocent child...
Anyways what has happened has happened...no point complaining now..I hope we don't repeat the same mistake one more time like we have done zillion times already...and everytime it is repeated few of us have to bark like stray dogs whom the govt. just ignores..
when will india will stop electing high council supportrd Cp?....and where is is that guy from facepalm party those loved money of albania by selling their soul?...
Next term we will have real president
Yes, we all need to rally around the future President and give him our full support. I trust that he will serve us well.

hmm Its ok Alias, they think we can do nothing. An Airstrike is a hostile manoeuvre which was forced without our approval, they have to justify their actions before accusing us of anything. If they didn't want bad blood, they should have spoken with us before doing anything which they did not.
