Independence Day! How America Can Pioneer, and Canada's Reactions
Shoi12
In honor of our bro America's birthday, I'd like to talk about their situation today. Now, as many of you know, Canada and America are as close as two countries can be, and their decisions will directly affect ours. So it's our goal to have their ideas and plans match with our own.
First is their NAPs. America has had a treaty with Spain for quite some time. Of course, that hasn't stopped the Spaniards from attacking us. While their deal makes sense, as it prevents two powerhouses from fighting each other, it also puts us in a bad position. If Spain attacks us, America is strictly neutral in the battle, and, to be honest, one of the reasons we're in the position we're in is because of our friends to the south. As the weaker of the two in our union, we can't afford to create any tension. If America won't budge with their peace treaty, we should at least consider a peace deal of our own with the Spanish. After all, why fight a strong country if they can instead be your ally?
Poland is in the same position. Poland and America both would prefer not to fight each other, and have begun taken steps to prevent any future conflict. Us Canadians would do well to extend a hand to our Polish adversaries and attempt diplomacy. If we can do so, we will have no country waiting to invade us, leaving us open to invading Ireland or UK. Perhaps an alliance with them is in the future, but for now, we must at least prevent an invasion.
America has one of the largest populations in the world, and as a result of their deep pockets and strong soldiers, many Canadians flee south to earn more money or fame. One way Canada should combat this is to lower taxes. Money is powerful, and if Canada can make goods cheaper and more available to the masses, I can guarantee a mass immigration. Perhaps if Canada and America work out trade agreements to bring more competitive rates to us, it would help both nations.
And to the south, America battles Mexico. While it may not be in the plans for now, if Mexico continues to harass America, I'd suggest quick action to crush them. Mexico is nowhere near as powerful as the Yanks, so America needs to use its superiority to its advantage. After all, why have an army if you don't use it to get what you want?

Why doesnt US have a NAP with Mexico and fight the spainiards so we can actually help out too
USA haveing NAPs with Spain and Poland are not good for anyone besides ONE. Because of these NAPs, ONE has free reign over Europe. I know by your eRep birthday that u are yet to see what happens when ONE no longer has a big fight in Europe. They build up a huge in economy in western and central Europe, then get board and invade North America. It takes us weeks to months to recover from these invasions.
Keep the pressure on ONE and keep the fighting in Europe, not our backyards.
i remember the days when poland and spain were our allies. i spent many a tank on spanish and polish defence.
wonder how long before the next big alliance shake up.
anyway we need somebody other than uk to fight so i hope we stay enemies for now.
I'm they would be willing to break up one of their NAPs by throwing their weight behind us via a proxy war between us and either ePoland or eSpain.
You haven't thought through the tax idea. The after tax revenue on (for instance) a q6 tank is almost identical in the US and Canada. The reason canadian citizens make only 2.50 /tank instead of the 5.75 we make in the US is : bonus. In the US, wages are really high - about 339 dollars compared to your 278. The US pays high income tax, but we spread that wage over a larger production, so the unit wage cost is actually a lot LOWER in the US (about 3 dollars lower).
And then, having made more money PER tank, we produce more tanks here. Changing canadian taxes is not going to overcome the effect of production bonus differences.
We have no way of entering any war unless we attack the UK first to gain a border with Poland.
I'm getting sick of hearing all this moaning about how tired everyone is with fighting UK.
We sit idle, losing a chance to hold an oil region, losing out on true patriot medals, and losing new players because they don't see canada fighting and get board.
Who cares how many times we fight UK. It's a war game and fighting UK helps us more then not fighting them
@olivermellors You bring up good point that Americans tend to earn more money. But by lowering costs to below American prices, we entice players to stay, become powerful, and then provide well-paying jobs. It just takes a little self-sacrifice from the rich. ...On second thought, yeah, not likely.
I agree with Crock, so what if we fought UK hundreds of times, they are the only legit target we have
