Well, Congress elections were.... errrr.... fun this month. Unfortunately, I was not able to get enough votes to get into Congress this month. Don't cry for me, though; as I plan to run again and again.
In review, last month was pretty much uneventful. This is not saying it was a failure, since the daily donations and renewal of military alliances with our allies went unscathed, which is the most important duty of a Congressman, but any other discussion was... well nonexistent.

No it means nothing anymore since I am not a Congressman, but I think Congress will be on the right step is Eli Crownover is elected Speaker of the House. Mr. Crownover has multiple terms of Congressional Leadership experience and we have already spoken about goals for the incoming Congress. He is a great and capable leader who can lead Congress and deserves the opportunity.

One of the first matters I think Congress should address is one that was written about earlier today by Drummermike. In an article subtly titled, USAF Funds, the former Congressman plainly wrote, "The USAF is out of money, recently we have ran into a deficit." He goes on to write that "We do not know how this is possible," before begging the actual members of the United States Armed Forces - the OFFICIAL military branch of the eUSA - to donate "money or extra raw food or weapons to either" him or Stephen Goldsmith.

I am sure I am not the only American shocked at such news. So I went to the man who sits in the Oval Office to see what's up. I have spoken to President GoalieBCSC and he along with military leadership are looking into the situation as we speak.
I also spoke to General Stephen Goldsmith, the Commanding Officer of eUSAF Army, who also assured me that there is already an on-going investigation. As of right now, it is looking like a QM issue.

It's time for Congress to audit the entire system. I don't doubt the investigation by the military and the President, but since Congress is charged with handling the funds and according to the Constitution:
3.11: Budget Allocations
Any budget line holders (Organizations that receive Gold or any currency from the Congressional Budget Office according the US Budget) must, at the request of Congress, submit a report to Congress (or the Select Committee on Intelligence depending on sensitivity).
This being said, it is time for Congress to step up and resolve an issue such as this. After all, we are talking about $390,900.00 a week!
Omnia Vincit Amor. Even death.

IMAGINE: RESPONSIBILITY
Voted.
Thanks for this Jude
Jude, the comments DrummerMike made in his article were inaccurate.
The USAF did not run out of money. Both the Ultramarines and Special Forces are on budget for the week. The Army however, is running at a slight deficit, which has currently been taken care of by private donations. This is not unexpected given their recent, sizable, shakeup to their commune system and the complete loss of production bonuses due to the Serbia invasion.
Moreover, the current administration, at the order of the President, is conducting a full audit of the USAF and OMS which is being completed by none other than Mr. Speedcat.
Well, thats what happens when folks get to much moeny, they become greedy. It would never had happened if the Government was a bit smarter. or COngress was compltly shitty last month, this months COgress look intereting to check out
Ego te absolvo.
huehuehuehue
To update my comment, additional government funds were procured to fix the Army shortfall, not private donations.
*look of surprise*
Jude... Jude Connors \o/
Yeah, like Oblige sai😛
Its Army, not USAF.
Funds have been procurred.
Investigation is on-going.
Speedcat has been working on an audit.
I know. I had talked to Goalie and Stephen and Speedcat. Speedcat asked to not be included in the article. Nice outing him, Guys!
In addition, I kept it as USAF since that was DM's original statement and I believe an investigation by Congress should be of all the branches, not just one.
I started a thread in the Private Congress section-- there, to sort out fact from rumor before bringing it public if necessary.
Speedcat posted that USAF Army CO Goldsmith is looking into his branch's shortfalls and will report back to Speedcat soon.
I'm satisfied with that and look forward to the update.
Jude, you should have been in Congress. But for some reason we elect idiots that post lulz proposals on Day 1. Truly ridiculous that the public has no better judgement... Wait, no, that they are proposed by party leaders. Just sayin'.
"To update my comment, additional government funds were procured to fix the Army shortfall, not private donations."
USAF is a money sink, suffocating the rest of the eUS.
"But for some reason we elect idiots that post lulz proposals on Day 1."
They apparently keep doing that even when sitting in the EC.
I think we all should reserve judgement until a full report has been compiled.
1. Read random article that was deleted, from a Staff Sergeant, the lowest level in the Officer Corps.
2. Write article blaming the entire military for running a shortfall, when it's only one branch that has seen significant changes in the past week, as well as, you know, a freaking invasion.
3. While we're at it, learn the truth, and still keep ridiculous claims in the article, spreading the misinformation.
4. ???
5. PROFIT!!!
I had more respect for you, Jude.
Moreover, the current administration, at the order of the President, is conducting a full audit of the USAF and OMS which is being completed by none other than Mr. Speedcat.
This Audit is not only healthy but vital @ this juncture. The main 'leakage' is in all probability 'infrastructure-related' upgrades. Further, Each Militia should be paid based on daily damage output and heavily regulated as it is the primary expenditure.
25% is too high, especially in RM Industries. I suspect far more tax debate in the near future.
Rainy Sunday for speaker of congress. \o/
I enjoy when people who don't know what they're writing about post articles. It amuses me.
over a year ago this was part of the mix of issues that eventually grew into the breakdown of the military.. Today the old mil and JCS is no longer part of this mix so that blame game is no longer usable. Yet, we all can see, and many know, that the layers of 'top sekrit' are a vacuum of taxpayer money and this huge money pit still goes unchecked. Congress should grow some hair on it's *&^%# and provide only bare bones minimal funding, on a strict per capita basis, until all hidden pockets are revealed to security cleared congress personnel and real fiscal management is put into play. We have a handful of states left, yet we spend millions and have communes like mad, something is wrong here!
