[My Thoughts] Has all this fighting been so bad?
AugustusX
So now I got you hooked with that cute penguin...
I am commencing a new series that will probably die out after about 2 articles due to my lack of concentration and dedication to writing articles. So grab a read of this as it will be one of the best 2 articles you will ever read.
The point of this series:
Is to express my thoughts on a certain topic or vent my frustration to people who don't care what I say.
The Topic Today:
Was the fight with eINDONESIA really so bad? Has all this commotion, battles, PTO, etc. really had such a negative effect on the everyday eAustralian?
Commence Rant:
So I am going to throw this out there, I think, PERSONALLY, these battles have made eAustralia, eRepublik, all the more interesting, fun, addictive, sexually attractive... and I am going to stop there before I scare some people.
Anyways, back onto topic, I joined eRepublik a while ago when it was all peace and love, there was few battles and the ones we did have were planned for people to get experience. The game was just, log in, work, train and maybe fight. I quit. Simple. It was boring, un-addictive and there was way too many people for anyone to care about the small fry newbie.
I left for a year (who knows... I don't) after being driven into bored and insanity and also not achieving anything whilst been here. So after a while of being away from eRepublik I was cleaning out my bookmarks when I came across none other than eRepublik and I decided to give it another shot.
I re-joined the game and the forums to check it out. I signed up to the AAR (ADF) and was assigned to a squad immediately even though I had never done RAMA or anything similar. I was pretty happy cause it was all done fast and with efficiency. I then noticed we had wars going on, that Australia no longer owned WA and I asked about it all. I was informed of the PTO, the Multinesia, the fights, the war, the politics, the military happenings and everything seemed so damned interesting! I felt inspired, enlightened, patriotic and wanting to help! Before I knew it, (my first time on IRC) I met Rowan Q my CO and Ginny Tory, my Platoon CO and I was promoted to squad XO. I was also a member of the AMP and running for congress, this was almost within the first 2 weeks of my re-joining!
It was heaven so far, but it was to get better! Rowan left and I became CO of a squad and then a congress member, fighting the PTO and fighting in RW, commanding my squad and much more! I was in... heaven.
Then I was nominated into PP and congress member again! I like to think people know who I am on IRC or something, but who knows, I live in a world of fantasies. I never achieved that before when I first joined. Everything was so exciting and wild. I fought not in fake wars, but in real ones in attempts to control our nation! I won a seat in congress to beat the PTO! I was doing something!
That is why I am here today, because of all this excitement and entertainment, this patriotism, this sense of unity (LOL Jks) etc.
So the moral of this rant is...:
Simple, use this war, this fighting to our advantage to get new people to play and stay. GOVERNMENT, get the education articles out to inform, and help people. Once they are hooked on the patriotism, they will never leave!
Use this to our advantage! Enjoy the fun whilst it lasts!
So screw eIndonesia, lets fight until we control eIndonesia ourselves! To WAR!
THIS IS AUSTRALIA!!!
That is about it... so back to my miso soup and subway

Wow, Flatty, you should write more articles, this is bloody fantastic!

Agreed. Fighting for freedom is attractive to play. Fighting for freedom is iritating to occupants. Fighting for freedom is a way to get babyboom. Fighting for freedom is a chance to promote moral ideas and build up our self-esteem and sense of honesty and power. Bowing to the occupant will weaken your moral spine and your commitment to your country.
Your countrymate, Mel Gibson is telling in Braveheart: "Aye, fight and you may die; run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!" Isn't true?
Wow, Rowan, you are in Belgium now, this is bloody fantastic!
yeah Rowan is the serial country swapper he used to be in Romandie Switzerland.
"would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"
🙂 we did have that one day and it was truly awesome.
I commend your fighting spirit.
