The one I wrote last week failed in the vote, so maybe this one will do better.
I could only understand half of it 😛
This image re-sizing is really starting to bother me 😑'
Looks great in a message though.
Yeah, little small here but the actual message that's on vote looks great. Would support it if I could.
Also, is "potential", not "potentional"
mwa ha ha
Finally, good job! : )
It looks delicious.
~hyuU~
fun size...but delicious.
Great work Kronos, but,
You should take the Crimson Canucks stuff off. They are not government affiliated and the government should have no business advertising a PRIVATE militia. We pay them to fight, that does not mean we officaly endorse them. Moreover they try to make their douchy point of "oo we dun take orderz from anyone" and all that bs so why give them free publicity? The CAF can do everything the CC does and more, again I do not see the point of endorsing a non-accountable fighting force.
I see a conflict of interest here
OF, what a asskisser you turned to out to be, I'm sure your mom likes it, but I don't 😛
Actually, Max is worse.
Actually I'm just tired of double standards...
as if o_0
eCan is constructed of double standards, TCO/CAF is one of the valuable ones.
new message is good, even with the stinky TCO stain on it. lol
Beautiful.
The new citizen message looks generally nice however:
I agree with Octavian F. The Citizens Message is to inform New citizens about the canadian government and its institutions. It is not a way to freely and shamelessly advertise a private militia operating within Canada, unaccountable to anyone, even if it receives some public funding.
If I was a congressman, I would reject this message until the Crimson Canucks part is removed.
Baw ^
Really nice message but, I also agree with Octavian and marcchelala. Otherwise, in fairness, you should give a nod to other eCan active militias, eg., The Crimson Old Guard or COG.
The list is short for now, but in the future the list of private militias could grow and they would want to be included too, irregardless of their mandate.
Could get dicey, no pun intended. 😛😛
COG is an extension of TCO. It operates in South Africa, and only takes in people of a certain erep age...not the best place for new eCanadians to be directed to.
But I see your point about future Militia's and personally I wouldnt see a problem with adding them, perhaps with some future criteria. It all keeps eCanadians interested in the game.
But haters be haten and dividers be dividen. TCO along with the CAF, allies and eCanadian citizens are the reason the French were stopped at Ontario and sent back to France.
No militia should be added. Period.
Join the CAF or do your own little thing but don't expect the government to endorse you if you're not in the CAF. We'll pay you because it makes sense to us for extra manpower, and we'll pay you ONLY if we need you. In no sense do you get free advertising for leeching away manpower from a more formal and accountable government-controlled organization.
Government should not advertise private slumber parties.
#1, all my work was completely disregarded?
#2, Crimsons should be on there...end of story.
End of story? Hahaha see you in congress then. 😉
As a eCanadian congressmen, here is the proposal I have put in the open-door congress section:
http://ecanada.cc/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&p=174418#p174418
"#1, all my work was completely disregarded?"
You said your files were gone :/ The images you put on the forums couldn't be used to make the message since we couldn't fit the french version on them.
its a new citizen message!!
IT's suppost to help players to find their way into the game so TCO should be included because it is a Canadian milta so new citizens may preffer to join TCO rather than a government milta.
Great to see our government working hard.
Nice job Kronos
Keep the Crimson - C'mon guys

I cant see why the option of a private militia can't be mentioned in a new citizen message. I mean really the 2 most influential groups in eCanada are the CAF and the TCO, even congress bears a large group of each faction. It's a part of what this country is and has been since eCanada was wiped off the map in WWIII.
Even Octavion's arguement reflects these factions, not eCanada's needs or available options. " In no sense do you get free advertising for leeching away manpower from a more formal and accountable government-controlled organization"
What eCanada needs is more citizens, what it has for options for military action are the CAF and TCO. I think the more options new players are presented the better, gives them a better chance to find something in the game they like. Gives us a better chance to gain another contributing member of eCanadian society.
Give them the options and let them make their own choices, same way we all did.
Check page 2 & 3 especially of the open door congress section I posted on the issue. I try to address these issues you speak of rather logically and althought I am accused of being biased, do not forget I used to be a Crimson, and I am only a lowly CAF corporal.
However I am getting annoyed at some of these blatant attempts to make the government a subsidizer of a someone's private militia. The seals in the eUS don't get gov't funding, COG didn't ask for funding neither from eSA or eCan, and the Praetors when they were in full force were self-supplying. Why should a hierarchical organization like the Crimsons be any different?
Let's be fair, the Crimsons exist because a few players want to play the game that way, separated from the government and a chance at playing leader. Logically, it would make more sense for our entire fighting force to be centralized in one area. That is why let the noobs go for the CAF do let's not nurture something which cuts from the CAF to feed a non-accountable organization.
Let the more experienced players see if they really want the Crimson experience or not.
You misread me Oct, I did not say you were biased, merely that your arguement reflected the CAF/TCO rivalry. As for TCO funding: Honestly if the CAF or eCanadian government wants TCO's help in an offensive battle damn right we should get paid.
It costs us money to operate as well, and not everyone wants to be a part of the goverment or always agrees with what it is doing. The CAF is part of the government, it does what the poloticians want. TCO is an independent militia, an active, and effective one, we do what we want. Sometimes we both have the same interests (defending our homeland),but offensively... Theres alot of EDEN nations, and citizens out there willing to pay good golds for extra damage in a RW, or defensive battle.
If you think about it eCanada would probably be spending alot more on military budget if we were part of the CAF anyway. Most times we fight for eCanada on our own dollar, giving us a weekly retainer im sure is less then it would be to have us all on the CAF roster.
@Bogle So eCanadians citizens should only fight if they get paid for it? I think TCO should be given at least some funding but your take on it is a little warped in my opinion.
😁^
Hmm sounded a little more aggressive than I meant it but the point still stands
Hey, this message is great, but the french version REALLY sucks. If you want it to be voted on, try finding someone who can translate it for you instead of google translator...
Just nice!
@pandobox: It is not a Google Translation, only a drunk Chris True translation 😉
@Chris: You were drunk when you translated this? ...
"it does what the poloticians want."
Haha, the CAF does not do what the politicians want. Ever since the Long Sword Rebellion I think Congress has laid off a bit.
also, the logo's on the MoD and GOV newspapers are squished.
@Kronos Q: Just kidding, its because someone told me I write like if I was always drunk. It seems my English AND my French suck... Holy crap....I wish he doesn't meet sean92.
@pandobox, my text isn't that bad, come on! I spotted only 3-4 mistakes.... and they're minor! The text is fully understandable.
wow i should really start paying attention to media more.
I am not going to argue if TCO should be there or not, and frankly i dont care. This isn't about getting new players to join either its about player retention. If you want to spark a TCO vs CAF debate go ahead but take it to a different place. Its pathetic to see that there is so much argument over something so simple.
@Stelawrat:
COG claims to be Part of TCO and is based in eSA. Thats what they said at first atleast, i dont know what changes have been done after.
Great Job on the message btw, i loved it, if possible maybe use the frame that CAF uses around the CAF logo?
Just a thought, hats off to everyone who worked on this
To the COG, I'm sincerely sorry if I described your militia and it's mandate incorrectly.
To Damien, you say the message is not directed at new players but rather, at retaining those players already in the game, meaning players anywhere in the eworld. In that case, I would expect the message to highlight the major differences between eCanada and any other eRep country, showcasing some of our brilliant political and economic minds and our media moguls, in addition to our military leaders and heroes.
To all of you, speaking about the public media only, sadly, I find it interesting that whenever there is a disagreement among eCanadian players, it is viewed as a bid to be deliberately hateful or divisive, to be argumentative. Whether it is offered with respect, intelligence and / or tongue in cheek, there seems to be no room whatsoever for constructive criticism, or the positive outcomes that could generate.
Still, at the risk of sparking a pathetic debate, I'll leave my comments here for what they're worth. The article is pretty old so, probably won't be read now anyway. 😛😛
To Kronos, I'll say it again, really nice message. I bet a player from the UN would be happy to polish up the French version for you.
