The Curious Case of Dean Winchester
vingaer
Hello guys,
I happened to notice that some of you have problems with distinguishing between two English words: Niger and the other, nasty one, written with two G letters.
Are you sure ;d?
Translation of my forum post (org. in Polish) -- 'Long live Belarus aka Bieloniger o/'
Now a small analyze and a vocab lesson:
Niger is a country of west-central Africa. Population 13kk, capital called Niamey, ex-French colony. Exports mainly peanuts and livestock. There is also Nigeria, the most populous African country, ex-British colony. This one we don't mention!
The other word you are nagging me about, -GG-, is used as a disparaging term for a Black person. Now, this word is considered to be highly offensive. Anyone using it is discriminating people of colour.
A native or inhabitant of Niger is called Nigerien. The adjective describing something related to Niger ot its inhabitants is also 'Nigerien'.
Now we get to the complicated part.
As you all know by now, Niger is an African country. Thing is, there are people supporting adding the African countries as against the common superstitions, they would actually make a great market for the game investors AND a great playground for the rest of us, the common players. We chose an unusual way to support adding those countries -- a role playing. Even though eNiger is still a 404, grey location on the map, we dress up as Nigerien government, congress and army and we have fun looking for Gabonian agents.
Since Africa got skipped in the new countries' race, we decided to make our new home in eBelarus, calling it Bieloniger or Belaniger. Again, there's a subtle yet meaningful difference between the -G- and -GG- parts.
Also, please notice, we do not use the -GG- word. Actually, there are many French people (France = a country, well, inhabited by many people of colour) among us. Do you really think they would allow calling themselves in such way the authors of the pic above are suggesting? I doubt it. Moreover, we don't call you the Belonigeriens. We call that only ourselves. You are Belarussians, rite? God knows how many citizens of real life Belarus plays eRepublik through the severe censorship established by the current leadership, but we wish you guys good luck irl.
So, to sum up, no one in here is calling you nasty. You just happen to live with a role-playing community. Judging from the elections' results, we are not the only group inhabiting eBelarus and having a political representation. I saw a really wide spectrum of avatars among the newly chosen congress members -- Polish, Romanian, Serbian, some Slavic Union etc. included 😉
.
Unfortunately, our originally created political party is now a property of Arschmann, so we didn't have one to run from. The Poles have kindly borrowed us some places on their list.
Since our political agenda is to make eBelarus a habitable place (we mean you no harm as we intend to live in here as well), I suggest you should look for enemies, especially the ones calling you nasty names, elsewhere 🙂
.
Also, thank you for the votes! I actually know only about two voters I had, no idea about the remaining 11 -- but hey, I was leading for such a long time you guys made me blush. Thanks for the support!

Reported for being dull.
Don't quite get who this article might be addressed to except for eden "o7-hamsters", but either way this obvious stuff on Niger/Nigeria is hardly relevant. Your presumption that belorussians are poorly educated people who require an encyclopedic reference on what is Niger and Nigeria to get the point is funny, but the rest is not. You and your silent polish army friends are plain PTOers, pushing the last rl-belorussians out from this dying game. Not a big deal, really. Things like this have been happening all the time in many minor ecountries. However, the "role-playing" you've chosen to colour the things up is neither funny, nor stylish.
@mogaba: yawn, you troll.
>>> @mogaba: yawn, you troll.
You don't really know what "trolling" means, do you?
As far as I know, a PTO group means to take over and destroy the country. You have no way of determining if we are PTO-ers, as we neither took over eBelarus (eNiger has 3 or 4 congressmen), nor we did any harm.
You have a very special definition of PTO. Actually, to determine you as a PTO group, I just need to compare the avatars of brand new congressmen, the avatars of the vast majority of your party and the avatars of polish army. Big surprise, but there is some 70% match. Once again, I'm not silly enough to blame you or smth. That's the way this game works. But the purpose of this sort of articles stays a mistery for me.
trololo Belapwnd
To determine us as a 'group' you need a source of what this group is. I will give you a piece of info, meaning I will quote myself:
> Unfortunately, our originally created political party is now a property of Arschmann, so we didn't have one to run from. The Poles have kindly borrowed us some places on their list.
The logical conclusion is that guys calling themselves "The Belonigeriens" are a different group of people than the guys you refer to as "Polish PTO".
Also, since when do we determine if something is or is not a PTO group by avatars 😃? That would mean I could wear your avatar and claim I am rl Belarussian. Seriously.
"That would mean I could wear your avatar and claim I am rl Belarussian."
yes, thats how SOME PEOPLE determinate who is belarussian and who isnt : DD
God knows how many citizens of real life Belarus plays eRepublik through the severe censorship established by the current leadership
________
What a hypocrite!
If you do not know, why are you insulting them? You, appointed to monitor the possible violations.
And why you think you have a right to interfere in the politics of the country to which you have no relationship and do not even know a player from this country?
v,s & lol for the article : D

All Africans, French etc. Is there no place in eWorld for your role-playing? Go to the North Korea, for example. I think there are no real North-Koreans in the game. So better play there
Bo ja wiem...
damn, its gonna be good trolololo in Bielarus o/

snezok, rubles are worthless pile of crap...
If you cannot answer to our posts, then do not say "lol troll". This comment has no interesting information, and it's useless.
