DMAN326 for Vermont
dman326
Citizens,
I am pleased to announce my candidacy for congressman in Vermont. I feel that my experience as a successful businessman and former member of the United States Marine Corp give me the perspective necessary to represent you accurately in our government.
First a few facts about my history.
1. I started playing on Christmas Day, 2008 (Day 401)
2. I have only lived in 2 countries (Spain and the US)
3. I own 9 companies worth about 900 gold
4. I fought in Karnataka and Hello Kitty, among many others
Now my views:
Economy
I feel our tax structure is crippling our domestic manufacturing companies, because our import tax is so low, companies from around the world are dumping their excess goods in our market. I do not support a change in the tax on raw materials or weapons as it is more important to have a huge stock on the market in the case of war. However, housing, moving tickets, and food should have a higher import tax in order to stimulate higher wages for non harvesters.
Military
I believe that a strong military is necessary for protection and retention. The US military is the best in the world and the primary reason why the US has active citizens. This has been enough to retain users for a long time, but with the advent of V2 we will need to allow our citizens to make money as well.

Comments
those who actually control the economy (not Congress in general but a select few) are quite adamant about keeping the import taxes down. they have articles about how this is the way to go. they also have a knack for shutting up any opposition to their methods.
that is why i feel that we need to make it an issue in the elections. I don't think that we need to increase any taxes on raw materials or on weapons which are dependent on wars, just on the goods that our domestic industry should have a pretty steady demand for like food, moving tickets, and houses. if we do this, our local industry should change to keep up with the demand and at the same time keep those jobs in the US.
*cough* tango *cough* jk.
