My letter to the President and Congress regarding the Indonesia Peace Proposal
![Brazil](http://www.erepublik.net/images/flags_png/S/Belgium.png)
Rod Damon
This is a copy of the letter that I sent to Elynea and all members of Congress. If I missed someone, my apologies.
........................................ .......................
There is currently a vote being called for a peace between Belgium and Indonesia.
The only reason that we have an open war with them is because Indonesia attacked Malaysia, and Malaysia is our ally so that we can participate in the SOL Training War.
While I want Belgium to be neutral, I must point out that if we sign peace with Indonesia, we will not be able to help defend Malaysia if Indonesia starts its offensive again.
If Indonesia starts its offensive, odds are likely that there will be no Training War battles for us to participate in. Worse case, if Indonesia eliminates Malaysia, there will be no training war and our alliance with them is lost.
Signing peace at this point is unwise and puts Belgium's investment in the Training War at risk.
If Indonesia wants peace with us, they should first make peace with Malaysia.
I ask you to consider this before voting. Vote NO at this time. We should push Indonesia to sign peace with Malaysia and secure our investment in the SOL training war. We do not want to have no battles for our citizens to participate in.
Please vote NO.
........................................ ..............
I urge all eBelgians who are actually living in eBelgium to contact the Congress and let them know that how you feel regarding this proposal.
Peace is fine, but it should not come at risk to Belgium's investment or its allies.
Peace with Malaysia THEN peace with Belgium.
Comments
I'm Rod Damon and I endorse this message
Agreed
lol, malaysia have 28 allies on there side (MPP's) you think indo do care about BE at the point you named?
I have no idea why this it but I think it isnt about the points you suggest here.
Then answer why Indo would put Belgium high on its list of people to make peace with?
Belgium has one alliance and that is with Malaysia. The only outlet for eBelgians who actually live in eBelgium to be able to fight and benefit from the hospital to maintain wellness is through our alliance with Malaysia.
Doing anything to jeopardize that alliance is not prudent for Belgium at this time.
If Indonesia wants peace with Belgium, it should make peace with our ally, Malaysia, whom it attacked.
Malaysia will be fine but Belgium needs training wars to get the health of new players up and to increase the fighting power of all citizens.
The only reason I can think Indo would put forth this peace is to divide us.
Think about what is in the interests of Belgium. We are not under threat of Indo invasion. Having an open war with them (which they initiated) is no problem for us. Not having a training war is a big problem.
@Rod Damon: OMFG, what are you talking about?
Regardless of this peace Belgium CAN take part in the training wars between Malaysia and the Philippines. What is more, if Indonesia attacks Malaysia again, the Belgian MPP will be activated again.
Signing peace with Indonesia DOES NOT threaten the investment of Belgium.
Don't mislead Belgian citizens.
Malaysia is a country of two regions.
If Indonesia attacks and conquers both regions, there is no Malaysia.
There will be no Malaysia to have an alliance with.
There will be no Malaysia to have a Training War with.
If there is no Malaysia, the gold that Belgium spent for a training war is wasted.
If there is no training war, the Belgian people have no way to use the hospital to maintain wellness.
Peace with Indonesia is fine and I agree to that AFTER they make peace with Malaysia.
so that's the game myfriends. now, you are fighting for real. against one member of the defunct PHOENIX. and you have no choice. this is when life chose you..
I am shadowukcs and I vote AND approve this message!
hmm... I already inform Elynea 1 day before, it was peace proposal after all.
Ok, that war was made by president before me. And create much controversy like this:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-pres-serawak-ratakan--1227682/1/all" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-pre[..]/all
And eBelgium still hold MPP with Malaysia, so if eIndo attack eMalaysia again in president after me, Belgium will automatically added again in that war.
I can't responsible for president before me, and I can't promise for president after me. But as long you maintain your MPP with Malaysia, it won't be a problem.
regards,
blackmanta
eIndonesia President
blackmanta
why not make peace with Malaysia? Solve the whole issue at that point. That way we know our investment in a training war is safe.
@Rod Damon
January eIndonesia make peace with eMalaysia, but February eIndonesia attack again 🙁
Maintaining MPP assure you that you can defend your dear ally.
Closing a war with bunch of MPP activated not an easy things to do. At least I had to reduce into minimum numbers of activated MPP, then I have better bargaining position to close the whole war.
Why I tried to peace with eBelgium? Because I thought eBelgium was neutral. Did I wrong?
But, it's up to you guys, you want to be a neutral country or involved in war.
@Rod
I still find your conception of neutrality very strange.
Closing the war here will in no way prevent Belgium to protect Malaysia if it's attacked again, it will just prevent belgium to help Malaysia in a counter strike. Why a neutral country would help attacking a Phoenix country ?
I don't support at all Indonesia attempt to conquer Malaysia but keeping Indonesia under threat is not being neutral.
The only reason a war is open between Belgium and Indonesia is because Indonesia attacked Malaysia who we have an alliance with for a training war.
Indonesia was the aggressor. Whatever you think of the motives for that attack, it was Indonesia that chose to attack and open up the MPPS.
I am looking to preserve and protect our investment in that training war. The people of Belgium had to suffer for too long waiting for the training war. It runs contrary to the best interests of the Belgian people to take a stand that can put that investment at risk.
Malaysia is a small country. Smaller then Belgium. A concerted attack will quickly erase Malaysia from the map and then we lose our training war and the people of Belgium suffer.
I have no issue with having peace with Indonesia AFTER they make peace with Malaysia.
If Indonesia would attack again, they would activate the war again.
If its for free, then why didnt signing it? Its only bad for the economy, if U cant trade with Indonesia.
Belgium isnt a threat to Indonesia, and neither an enemy. The only reason for this peace is either "friendship", or economical.
Indonesia wont make peace with indonesia, nor Malaysia would sign that, U know that.
BTW it wont change a thing if the war still goes on, neither of the countries will reach each other. But dont say stupid things like there wont be no traioning wars, or U cant defend Malaysia.
I have a company with eBelgium's license.
If eIndonesia open war with eBelgium, otomaticaly I can't sell my product to eBelgium 🙁
@Rod
Are you trying to foul us or what ?
If indonesia attack Malaysia again, they will activate the MPP again.
Keeping the war active only allow Belgium to fight in a counter strike from Malaysia which won't probably happen. (because Malaysia doesn't want to activate Indonesian MPP).
The only effect of the war right now are the trade embargo, the two MT needed to travel and the symbol of being at war.
I could admit that keeping the war just to show that belgium doesn't agree with the indonesian attack could be a good enough reason. But that one is the only possible reason I can see to keep the war so don't try to say that signing peace could be bad for belgium interests.
Also, I believe a neutral country can have some thought about the invasion of another neutral country.
But when the thought comes from american soldiers, it's not so neutral anymore.
It's sad that external power games once again started the old PHOENIX-EDEN discussion in our country. If we really hold our neutrality high, I'm affraid we should sign the peace offer, to stay true to our principles.
yea peace will say that u are neutral.
its logical that u want to protect tw rights but mpp will be opened again when indo attacks malaysia so the only reason to keep this fight open is to favour EDEN.
because a neutral country would want to sign peace with all countries as fast as possible.
@rod
i dont know what u are trying to do here, but last article u where saying something about EDEN pto/ato has majority in hands now and that they didnt do anything with it.
now u can see that u guys do because not signing peace is not in the interest of belgium but in the interest of EDEN.
I have no issue with having peace with Indonesia AFTER they make peace with Malaysia. >
Neutral country won't press other country like this.
@blackmanta: whatsoever, if they want to sign peace with some conditions, then don't do it.
They were informed after the message which I received.
The problem of " wargame " is not in touch with the peace request.
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/so-you-say-you-are-not-eden-1245147/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/so-y[..]/1/20
I am Masila
The president of Indonesia in January
I am the one who want to eliminate any war with Malaysia
I make the peace treaty
I and ww88 the president of Malaysia that time agree to build #nusantara
Im with Blackmanta's statement
yup masila and i sing the peace treat and we try to continue it with NAP agreement
the project called Nusantara project
So.
Belgium has war with Indonesia from the second Indonesia attacked Malaysia.
If we sign the peace treaty and after Indonesia attacks once more Malaysia, we'll have that war in that second again.
You are Rod Damon and you endorse this message. But Damon, do you write articles without thinking? Or you just want to find an excuse for those who don't want to be neutral (with Indonesia this time).
hehe
silly aricle
it's rather obvious that this Rod Damon is under eUS---- his answers are pathetically irrelevant, looks like Belgium is under eUS TO, again. Even fools can tell :/
Sorry. I don't intend to troll. I'm outta here.
hmm loking this article and its comment i could only say " im sorry for the misunderstanding". perhaps thats would make a point whee to start. thx
