Retraction and Handshake
Donovan Thomas
eIreland,
Based on conversations with Sean Power and in light Dubh's apology I have removed the previous article.
Sean Power in his role as CoS spotted what he believed to be possible illegal action.
To maintain his impartial attitude he approached Dubh as a TD to present the information to congress.
While I wish that both of them had dug a little deeper into available public information I cannot fault them for trying to protect eIreland.
Sean Power has tendered his resignation as CoS. I have made a recommendation to President Savage that she decline his resignation.
Dubh, no hard feelings mate. Fact is some missteps were made and some lessons learned but I still believe that you and Sean are patriots and have eIreland's best interests at heart.
I ask the eIrish people to put this aside.
To put aside the suspicion levied at other ministers thought to be involved.
Put aside the "boogieman" attitude many of us have taken on.
We may not all be able to agree on policy and practice, but we can all agree that we waste time and resources by trying to "catch" each other in a mistake. I've been guilty of this myself.
Let's all take a step back, take a deep breath and remember this is our Island together.
We are all she's got.
Very Respectfully,
Vice President Donovan Thomas

Sean: Don't resign, buddy. You're the best CoS eIreland has ever had in the Princess's opinion 🙂
And like I said before: everyone makes mistakes. You were only trying to help.
Unlike those nasty mean faces who yelled at me.
Everyone loves one another now 🙂
Except for PP and Dylanb...they don't know how to foster healthy relationships 🙁 Sad, really.

And today's lesson kids is research before you accuse anyone of anything but always stay vigilant nonetheless 😉

Dammit Sean, you better not resign.

Wouldn't it be great if it was like this all the time.

A genuine mistake, with Ireland's best interests at heart, don't resign sean
Moving forward is the best course now, no need to resign SP.
As I posted (if it actually went through, damn Droid in a bad signal) in the deleted article, I recall Dubh to be a respectable guy. Sean, as well, is a good citizen of eIreland with a lot to offer.
As it has been said, it was a simple catch and explain scenario. A possible issue arose, was reported, and turned out to be false. No big deal, now that both parties are shaking hands. Forgive and forget, boys and girls.
As for Sean: Don't resign. eIreland needs quality officials more than ever, and you're in that category.
