Who’s That Congressman?

Who’s That Congressman?
ITS PIKACHU!
Today I start part one of god knows how many parts in my new segment, “Who’s That Congressman?” Each part will start off with a screenshot of one of your elected official saying or doing something incredibly stupid. Let’s take a look at this week’s moment:
Here we see Microvans of Le Parti Francophone Canadien attempting to raise taxes under full occupation. Now, I understand having a stupid ass congressman attempting to troll it up a bit, but here is the part that really gets me. There are 14 yes votes. That means 13 people had to be just as stupid as Microvans, if not more idiotic to vote yes on a proposal that would literally be giving money away to our enemies.
Microvans later left congress as seen below:
My question to the fine people of Canada is this: Who are these dumbasses that you elect to office? I, for one, am happy we aren’t going to have a congress this month because it just goes to show everyone being elected has less a brain then the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz.
Wall of Shame:
1. Microvans 1/9/15
2. 13 Unnamed Congressman 1/9/15
If only I could see who the other 13 are would I be able to throw their name up on the wall. Of course, I’m more than welcome to have them step forward themselves, perhaps even then they might gain some respect for admitting their foolishness.
Keeping a watchful eye on your ingenious congress,
Aries Prime

Calling people stupid does not improve the quality of people running for congress. Once people were educated the "yes" votes stopped coming.
We want new people in congress yet when we get them we expect them not to make any mistakes. If it had actually passed I would of been more upset.
Everyone involved is hopefully educated now.
Have a wall of education. There is no shame in making an honest mistake.
A mistake is voting yes on an MPP that the gov didn't approve. This is just pure stupid. And yes, I'd rather NOT have congressmen that are going to be this dumb.

Embrace the wipe then.
Why were people voting when they obviously had no idea what they were voting on? Automatically clicking the Yes button due to ignorance is a shameful thing.
All the experienced community leaders should know by now that, if they are going to run new people for Congress, these mistakes are going to happen, and the new guys should be guided so they don't almost pass a bill that would finance our enemies. Several community leaders did not do this, and nearly half of Congress blindly and foolishly voted Yes on this travesty.
I believe I stand as one of the few community leaders who did take immediate action. I informed my fellow MDP Congress members of the situation as soon as I saw it, posted a shout in the friends feed and took action as Speaker of the House.
It astonishes me that anyone else would be lackadaisical about this, even though I should be used to you lazy hippies screwing things up and not giving a damn about the good of the country.
To his credit, at least Microvans had the presence of mind and personal integrity to resign afterwards. The other 13 should follow his lead.
Be careful pointing the 'you lazy hippies.' I know it's your umbrella term for those that are more deserving of it, but it can seem misdirected.
We shouldn't be quick to strap red tape to everything, rather we should be quick to raise red flags.
Aries is doing a great job publishing red flags that we ALL are responsible to raise.
Agreed that name calling isn't required. I'm looking at party presidents. There is a certain level of responsibility to educate new people.
eRepublik is stupid. As such, everything in this game is stupid. Elections, politicians, alliances. Everything. Arguing the contrary is stupid. Plato demands your obedience and your cash. He cares nothing about your politics.
Not guilty your honour...
Party Presidents need to ensure the people they run for congress are of good character and give them a basic rundown of the job. New players should be welcomed into congress, but not just thrown into the job without direction. I have seen many such players as of late. If you don't have enough competent candidates to run for congress, don't just fill up the ballot with random players or those of questionable/unknown character.
Hear hear.
TMS would have run good people 😛

We're back, more later when I get home and can write an article. I won't propose anyone to Congress unless I can be sure they understand the job and will be likely to be able to succeed at it.
~hyuu~
I actually LOL'd at that... That is why you don't have a congress when fully occupied 😑, at least the Plato got something right...
I've been listening to too many songs lately.. so when I read your title.. all that came to mind was WHO'S THAT GIIIIIIRL~ http://youtu.be/mfbmQYJEyKA
lol
Hey well I did an illegal proposal too, where's my article 🙁
lol Klop 🙂
who the hell is Aries Prime? Why have I never met this magnificent individual?! Bravo sir, you are doing God's work.
All congress-members are idiots. They're only in it for the 5g and internet points. Down with congress, down with the democracy!
Elect? That's rich. There haven't been congressional elections in years. And, I am still confused at the notion of an "illegal" proposal. I have scoured through the eRepublik laws and I have yet to find any laws regarding illegal proposals.
Easiest solution?
Vote "No" on everything. It's a system that's worked for me for years.
