What I Want From Our Next CP
HebronGazelle
The CP elections are coming up, and we already have a few names for who will be running from each party. I'm not here to tell you who is running, or what these CP candidates say they will do, but what I want the CP's to do.
What I Want: Wars
I can tell you a fact here, when I started the game the eUK was being attacked by three countries. The eUK had little hope of getting out, but that is what kept me playing. There was a little part of me which wanted to help the eUK get out of this, and see the eUK grow. That is what kept me playing.
In the past few months the eUK has seen little direct fighting. We have also seen many new players leave this game. Can you see a link?
The Congress has decided that we shall have a TW, which is good. Whether this Training War continues, or we get a full war, I don't care. Any war is better then no war.
What I Want: New Players Advancing
Generally, we have the same people in charge of the eUK except for the change of CP. I would like to see new players given more of a chance. This is not to say that I want to see the older players leave politics and quit the game, I would like to see the older players continue to play. But the main thing which we need is for the older players to educate the newer players. This is important as we need a smart generation to come through.
We could help the newer players by giving them jobs like deputy MoHA or deputy MoFA. This will teach them what to do and hopefully they will play bigger roles in the future.
What I Want: World-Wide Stance
This may be a major part of the next CP's term. A month or two ago, we had to decide between Poland and Macedonia. In the end we did not decide and stuck with both, just like many other countries did. This does not help as we will have to eventually make a decision. The Congress will play a big part in this, but the CP does also need to guide the Congress to the decision.
I cannot yet say which one I would choose, and I'm sure many people in the eUK couldn't either. However in the next month or two, that decision will come, and we will need a strong leader to help us.
What I Want: A United Kingdom
This does seem impossible. The eUnited Kingdom seems to be arguing about something. At the moment it seems to be about New Era. I don't think that we can solve everyone’s problems, but if we could unite people instead of creating bigger problems, that would be great.
I expect a few people to disagree, that is politics. I also expect people to get along. The eUK has improved in this since I started the game, but we do have a long way to go.

War incoming, waiting for the other side to OK it and sort out MPPs and stuff : ) New players have to apply to help out, then you can advance to deputy/assistant minister in a month or two and then a real one in another couple if you are good : )
How many new players know they have to apply?
I think none
"The Congress has decided that we shall have a TW, which is good. Whether this Training War continues, or we get a full war, I don't care. Any war is better then no war."
One should be organised in a couple of days.
Some must, else we'd have nobody running the country! Good point though, I'll forward it on.
@Danie
I usually see more of the game then most new players but I've only seen MoFA asking for players to help. If new players don't see threads on the forum or articles in game they are unlikely to apply.
@Lily
I don't expect the TW to last long, so we need a CP to keep it up or find a real war.
MoFA is the one which needs the most manpower, but other departments are always looking for helpers.
absolutely well written and structured. One point I disagree with, We, New Era, are not arguing, we are CLEANING.
@Alphabethis
I know your spanish so you may not have read my sentence correctly. I said other people are arguing about New Era.
I am wanting to get more involved in politics but I have a lot of questions. e.g.How do you apply for spokesman or MoF and that kind of thing.
The problem is that unless you go on the forums you don't know (I don't go on the forums) because I don't have enough time and it makes my computer lag and I don't really want to go on them to be honest.
why is there nothing on erepublik itself that tells you this?
there should be if the younger members of our country (such as me) want to get involved in politics, something to tell us how and what to do / what not to do
outstanding work as ever
Agree with all the points raised

"why is there nothing on erepublik itself that tells you this?"
There is, its called a 'link'. If you want to get involved in the MoFA message Kravenn about it. The person who happens to be the current Minister is up there, plenty of info hanging around. Its mainly on the forums to avoid having to spend half of every article saying the same stuff over, and over and over again. Read the Ministers updates, they contain info as well as the forums. Theres stuff here as well as there.
"I don't really want to go on them to be honest."
Thats your problem, right there. Enough people want to use the forums that it works. However, there is a recognition from Talon that not all can/want/will use them so this is why we have Ministerial updates. You can also message Ministers for information as well. You sign up by messaging the Ministers, I hope that this helps! (:
Great article CC, nice one
I'm planning to go into politics soon, and I am not the only one. There are young players doing their best to advance, but I agree that there should be more support from the existing leaders
Good article Cheetah Curtis, I'd like to see all this from our next CP too, 07
"Cleaning"? That has very nasty RL echoes.
