Good and Bad Communism
Eduard Velikij
There are many types of communism, and unfortunately there are more bad types than good ones.Let me explain my point of view*. The most common types are branches of Stalinism. Stalinism is mostly about totalitarianism and oppression. It may help industry, but is not very good for people. Unfortunately, when people hear the word "communism" they think of Stalinism. Then there is Marxism, which the first modern type of communism, and the base of most types of communism today. There is also Leninism, which was what the USSR started with, but it turned into Stalinsm after Lenin died. It is a altered version of Marxism. Trotskyism, I'm not really sure about. After reading a Wikipedia article, I did not understand what it was apart from the fact that it was against Stalinism. :/ But i hope this article has helped you understand that communism isn't all bad. In fact, I would say that it's people who make it bad.

The reason Lenin and Trotsky clash a lot was not because of interpretation of sort, but how revolution should be approached. "Trotskyism" is not much different from Leninism in a vernacular sense. Lenin was more concerned with the consolidation of the Bolsheviks and influencing countries into revolution, while Trotsky preferred rapid progression of revolutions by the workers around the world.
He felt that only this could stop the progression of capitalism in Russia and also other nations that would be influenced by it.
Lenin preferred power of the Soviet remained in Russia and not some foreign country, a less extreme position than Stalin who bullied fellow 'Communist' nations.
Trotsky was more idealistic with his approach. Both Lenin and Trotsky believed in the dictatorship of the proletariat and were close political allies.
In fact, Lenin wanted Trotsky in the fold before he passed away and tried effortlessly to make sure the leadership did not disintegrate . However the infamous Lenin Testament screwed that up and ironically led to the demise of the perpetrators Kamenev and Zinoviev
Ok, thanks for the info! 🙂
I'm a Marxist-Leninist
