Greeting Citizens!

Asteria has landed! A coordinated series of Air Strikes by our Allies was successful against Chilean and Hungarian held regions of ours. What a nice piece of planning!
Latvia took New Mexico from Chile.
Romania took Tennessee from Chile.
Ukraine took Arizona from Chile.
Iran took Washington from Hungary
Republic of Macedonia is winning in Arkansas vs Chile
Also Bulgaria AS Chile in the Netherlands to drain Chile as they helped the Netherlands.

And while we are still occupied by Croatia, Hungary, Chile, France, Greece, and Turkey, we have freed Kentucky from Hungarian hands and we are back on the map!
Now we begin taking our Country back with the help of our Allies as we kick out the occupiers one by one.

While we still have a long way to go and many hard battles ahead, we should take a moment to appreciate the efforts of, not only our friends in Asteria, but our steadfast Citizens. We salute you both!

Congress Sees its Shadow: Six More Weeks of a Wipe

Philosophers have long asked, what is Congress? And what happens if the eUS has no regions?

Well, we now have the answer. In a month with no regions, eRepublik had us vote on a Congress that was never seated. So what is the result?

In game: Nothing. There is no in-game Congress this month. This is the natural result of having no regions on the 25th. All decisions must be made by our tyrannical benevolent dictator leader Herr Voots.

On the forum however? Shadow Congress!. Following the eUS Code, Speaker of the House, and grill-master extraordinaire, DMJ, has elicited a Shadow Congress to continue to lead the eUS even while we have no regions. The full proceedings can be seen here, but in short, each t5 party is allotted representatives equal to their total last month, plus their two delegates.

Thus, the Shadow Congress distribution this month is:
WTP - 14
Feds - 11
BSP, SFP, 506 - 5

You might wonder how such a Congress can function without CBO donations or accidentally voting on NE proposals that are meant to be held, but have no fear, our shadow Congress has already begun deliberations on electing a speaker.

Shockingly enough even Shadow Congress doesn't disappear after they are sworn in, in fact they will probably go on to legislate in the Public Congressional Proceedings section of the eUS forums.

Congress will continue to debate and discuss budgets, and more, as the eUS continues to determine the best path forward even during these trying times.

They will be naming parks and airports in no time.

It's nearly the 5th, and to every eRepublikan, that means one thing: Election Season.

This election, President Herr Vootsman is running for reëlection, supported by the Federalist Party, the 506 Party and the USWP. Running against him is H U L K from the WTP, as well as icekamikaza, Countess of Flame, and Alex Marcellus.

For many eRepublikans, Herr Vootsman has been President for time eternal, but as a Democracy, the WHPR would like to remind eAmericans of all parties that any of these candidates could become President.


And while the WHPR cannot officially endorse a candidate, let us tell you about the terrible skeletons, and other things, we have seen in Voot's closet:
