Why I am voting for Akhraziel

Day 1,385, 00:26 Published in Egypt Egypt by Franz Kafka

It's election time again, and with only a President left to make the laws of our land, this election is more important than most.

We've languished for several months under occupation, and our political leadership has been PATHETIC in their response. I am not just talking about our current President (although he is constitutionally the most responsible for this situation) - but also our various oppositions.

But now is a time to make a break with the past. Akraziel has shown us his ability to rise above much of the political bickering of the last month, and I believe he is a leader we can unite behind.

You will note that I've not talked about whether he is RL Egyptian. Because for me, this is NOT important. In eRepublik, if you want to be an e citizen of a country, your RL nationality should not be relevant. What should be relevant is whether you put the interests of your ecitizenship first, and sadly there are some members of this society who are more interested to serve other interests first rather than that of Egypt.

We do have a decent selection of candidates in opposition. Adriatic_Rage has marked himself out amongst our ethnic Croats as a citizen more able to understand and speak for the interests of our nation. Gamal Abdel Nasser has not shown what it takes to make coalitions and build a base of political support, I hope he does not do well in these elections. He always gets a certain number of votes in PP elections (which I will make no accusation about, but given his silence on all matters, I think you can draw your own conclusions about how he gets those votes!). I don't know Aknouh, but with two political parties behind him/her, he must be doing something right!

Anyway, good luck to all candidates. I will be voting for Akhraziel, I hope you will too.
