Please, give new players more influence!
james janeway
In this game i always see the same names.. And that is no problem ofcourse. There is a group of 'old' players that rules the country, the parties, the ministeries and other things..
The same players also become president.
But..
Is this good for the nation? 'Old' players have a lot of experience. That is good but als it can become bad.
New players can look to the game in another way.
So i would ask everyone: give new players more influence! A new player has the same rights as the others and should be also important!

James This is happening right now u and kordak are (young players) If people are intrested in stuff like u guys they will do something i believe 🙂
Given you're age you're correct. I'm not that much older and still young in erep, but when I started there were totally different names. Those "dinosaurs" are mainly out of scope now. Since around june last year a lot of new names arrived. In fact the gov team is mainly build on new people so what you describe happened back than and a lot of people got the change to get involved. A lot of them didn't deliver/participate once in place but I'm sure that new players will get the change again, as they got previous terms and for sure hope that they actually deliver something. As a result there were a lot of different names but only a small constant base on which eNL is build. And if you yourself would start as minister of activities for example you could experience that as well and perhaps even become part of a solid foundation.
I don't agree on this, the last few months i see a lot of new players in congress including me 😉 For the function of president i think we need somebody with experience. You can't be the boss of a country without any experience in congress or ministry.
hehe funny to hear a I&W pp say such things
I am 2 months young in here and with my own activity opened doors I didn't know existed. I strongly believe that new players get chances if they are active them selves. I have been asked to be one of MoFA (yes minister) in Finnish presidential elections. I got my self to be an ambassador with bombarding the "old" ones so yes there are chances. The best mix is young and new with the talented elders in what ever country out here. I agree that you need some experience to become a CP for example.
2 years old in erepublik, however quit many times, as you can tell by my level.
Don't blame people for keeping the show on the road, prove you can do it better and the stage is yours. Try to run a ministry for a month and you will see it takes a lot of time and work and the few people willing and capable, are usually stuck in a ministry for months. Not because they want to or won't give up the position, but because they take their responsibility if no one else does.
Positive in this is of course that there is few new players who actually want to be active and take responsibility.
If you want influence; Take a job at gov or in congress and prove yourself. You're games are an example of a nice initiative that could be used within gov. Changes enough, but mainly lacking people that are actually active. Besides a few that form the core of the gov the last 9 months or so. I don't have the time for that so thanks to them for keeping the show on the road!
GPN has brought in and let many new and younger players run for Congress. Something that I started that others called "a populist movement that would fade." Its time for everyone to step up as well and let a new Congress come in.
As well though I would say every government has made it well known that anyone can apply to join the government. The government can only do so much, the people need to help themselves a bit to and apply for positions.
