Economic Module Changing Proposal

I know that you have been changing the economic module, I’d like to say that I’m satisfied with raw changing measures that you have done. On the other hand, I’m not so happy with the Orgs changing measures.

I like very much eRepublik so I’ve been thinking about some ideas that could help our economy module, making him more similar to the real life economy and improve our gaming experience.

Please find below some ideas that could enhance the economic module of erepublik:

1. Keep Organizations and improve them. Any citizen of the New World who is interested in creating a company, every government that socially assists their citizens, every political party that wants to keep their finances in order uses Organizations to help them, so is there any reason to end with it?

First of all, I think (and probably everyone thinks) we need to keep the Organizations and not end with them. What we really need to do is to improve them and to make them work better.

Organizations are the best way to socialize in the erepublik in-game environment; we have created companies, corporations, social assistance programs, national banks, funds and military institutions, with Orgs and we need it to help us socializing and making progress in the game. I know that you will keep the government orgs, but wouldn’t be much better keeping all of them? I do think it will be better for economy, for citizens and for parties.

2. Create Ministries. For helping Presidents to control budget it would be interesting to create ministries (allowing the president of each country to define them more specifically) controlled by a minister named by the president. The ministries could work like the organizations that would be improved, but their administrations would be made for the citizens, which were named for the Minister office.

3. Create a Financial System. Since I have been playing this game, the improvements that you’ve done were good, except for the orgs situation. I think the economic module that was created is not similar to the real life economic system, so there are some improvements that could be done in order to make the erepublik’s gaming experience more real:

a) Create a structured financial system allowing organizations to lend money to governments (through debt instruments such as bonds) and citizens or creating new companies similar to real banks. It’s necessary a better economic module that would comprise interest rates (set by a central bank or even the congress), different types of loans, a kind of a stock market inside the game and also allowing governments to provide credit in public banks.

b) Create a central bank controlled by a council named by the president, which will be responsible for issuing money (that may be approved by the congress), setting interest rates and also issuing government bonds.

4. Country Information. With the improvement of the economic system, governments will need lots of information of their economy, so in order to help our ministers and our president it would be also interesting to do this: Start to measure the inflation per week of all products, show for governments a real GDP of our countries and also measure the average’s wage

With these measures, the economic module will be significantly improved and it will be much more interesting playing eRepublik.
