Bolivian Exodus
Anthony Colby
Today is a sad day in eRepublik. The destruction of a nation that I considered my eHome for six months is no more. Bolivia, the proud South American nation is in the grip of massive political manipulations by Argentina. This has resulted in the real population of Bolivia, the ones who actually care about Bolivia, leaving for Peru. For several months Argentina has manipulated the government of Bolivia through PTO efforts. In the latest round of elections not one legitimate candidate for Congress, Party President or President was elected. All were agents of Argentina. The entire Bolivian treasury has been donated to organizations in Argentina.
It has finally come to the breaking point for the citizens of Bolivia. After months of not having any say in their government and no control they are leaving. Peru has offered to take them in. They will be able to create a community in exile and try to regain some strength in order to someday take back what is theirs. The population of Bolivia at any time is a small one. Ireland has a much larger population so when someone complains about how few citizens we have, it could be worse.
I would hope that all freedom loving nations of the eWorld would decide to intervene on behalf of the Bolivian nationals. As I said this is a sad day. All the initiatives created by the admins to stop this sort of thing have proven less than useless. It would seem that they don't care about the tiny nations of the eWorld. I hope they prove me wrong.

Are these PTO groups officially sanctioned by the Argentine government?
Similar to the Hungarians in SA.
As far as I know they are.
Argentina has picked on Bolivia for some time now.
That's a cause for concern. With Argentina set to join PANAM. You'd think that'd be something other PANAM nations should take into consideration when joining. PTOing is an unfair tactic, and shouldn't be openly accepted.
Are they welcome here? We need a population influx
Of course they are : P
Some of this has to do with real world politics like Ireland and the UK. I hope boliva gets its freedowm one day again.
PANAM the 'Not so' Defensive Alliance. It's charter is rubbish. I was aware of the Bolivian situation, I even deployed their momentarily, however once I found the underhanded PTO I stopped fighting.
Very sad and disappointing situation. I hope it improves.
Very sad indeed.
Terrible to see this sort of thing happen.
Why wouldn't they come here ?
We have a great climate ! Great llamas ! Great ...Great ...
I'm here !
We should seriously consider offering them a place among us .
I have to say that I'm REALLY sad to read this article. Bolivia was my second home for a few months in my eLife, and I met good friends. Sad story, sad day. 🙁

Yes it is sad, thank you for writeing this article and bringing more attention to our situation. As for me...its time to move to Peru today...
Thank you for write this article Anthony, unfortunely we need to move to another country because the difference of votes is amazing, the Argentinians are creating multis in Bolivia and all these action were supported by the gov of Argentina.
They support that to have more regions, more resources, WG, to stolen the money from the country, etc. Not to fight with someone of his size, they take a small country to take the advantage...now they are attacking Peru, trying to do the same
I can't stand it when a nation gets wiped out. It's clearly bullying. I don't see Argentina trying to take on someone its own size. It's a pity Ireland is a wreck. Would be nice to extend a hand to our Bolivian bros. But we need help ourselves (to some extent). I wish eBolivia the best and that one day Argentina pays for its crime.
Hey irelands friends! we considered moving to your country hehe! but right now ePeru need us! eArgentina is attacking now...
we will see how the recently reformed eperuvian army does.. hope we can kick out the invasors again!
Signed.
Jiosen, Ireland isn't a wreck anymore. : P Go easy.
freedom to Bolivia from the discasting cheaters.
Antony Colby, bravo for trying to help them.

Ireland never was a wreck. Ireland is the people not the place. Bolivians should be encouraged to come to Ireland. Although were I a Bolivian I might stay in Peru since it would be better for purposes of taking back Bolivia. Based on this article, PANAM looks very unattractive.
"PANAM looks very unattractive."
This fully backed.
After fighting all day for Peru and getting our allies to help im disgusted in PANAM. You truly are a disgrace to the smaller nations.
Agreed with Marcus.

hail bolivia.
Estoy con vosotros
@moomoohead, what RL politics issues does ROI and UK have?
Nobody here cares that some of you constantly carry out terrorist attacks, nobody here cares that you allied with the Germans at the wrong time.
I think this is a one-way system.
@sevillafc
Words as usual!
I remember very well when we ask the help of spanish government(Warm2 was in government(a former poresident of Bolivia)) to give us a group of ATO (when citizenship was free). We don't receive nothing.
Only romanian units help us at that moment.
I'm proud to be one of lasts bolivians which fight until the end against To-ers.
