Auf Wiedersehen

Day 753, 04:30 Published in Austria USA by stancel

I've resigned from Congress, and from the position of Party President of the Socialist Party. In my place, OmuNegru9, has succeeded as interim Party President due to his experience level. I don't know if he will choose to run.

I don't write this with anger, I'll miss being involved in Austrian politics, I just think my time here has come to an end. I will be moving on to another country (not Bulgaria, I'm just staying here temporarily to defend it in the current war). For now, I am enjoying being able to move around the world and fight (something I wasn't able to do for almost two months).

I first came to Austria three months ago. My presence here has been eventful, and I proposed many ideas, some of which I abandoned, like the idea of a Central European alliance, and some of which I hold today, like the idea of joining Sol.

Before leaving, I discussed with Snayke, imperator of Sol, which recently became a global alliance, about the possibility of Austria joining. He told me that Austria first must become an observer member and gain the trust of Sol. My vision was of Sol becoming great, and and all the other countries left in PEACE joining Sol. But of course, that may never happen, but it was an interesting idea.

I was called "obsessed" by some but in truth, when it came to all the ideas I put forward, I wanted to make Austria more interesting and fun, stronger and safer.

The main reason I left was not because my agenda was not being put forward (although it may seem like that due to the time which I left). It was the decline of my party, something which I was unable to stop. I thought maybe there was the hope that the Socialist Party (it was called the People's Socialist Party before I became Party President) would become a stronger party.

There was the possibility of Rot Weiss Rot merging with the Socialist Party to form a party called the Austrian Labour Party. I rejected the offer, but maybe it will happen after I'm gone.

I'll continue to follow things in Austria, commenting on things from time to time, or chatting on IRC, so this won't be the last time you see me, just probably the last time you see me in Austrian politics.
