[MoF] Daily Tax Income and MPP costs

eBelgium Income

ThomasRED has published a “mid-term review”, which many of you have already read. In that, he state that “the main issue our country faced about MPP is the cost of these pacts”. To illustrate the costs compared to our income, I will share some insights about our income in this Ministry of Finance article.

I've been looking into what eBelgium earns per day. From Friday to Monday (4 days), we gained 985.73 BEF. We didn’t gain any GOLD and foreign currencies were not taken into account, but they are probably neglectable. That means we earn 246.43 BEF per days, which equals 4.86 GOLD.
So let’s put that in perspective towards the MPPs. If we sign an MPP and pay all 200 GOLD (which is not uncommon for a small country), the MPP would last for 30 days, but costs us 42 days of income. Even the new deal with USA (120 GOLD) would cost us nearly a month's income.


Donate to NBB-BNB

So indeed, relying only on taxes to pay for MPPs can give us some difficulties. Therefore, we have to work together as a community to be strong. Previously, MaryamQ initiated a huge donation round to collect money for MPPs. ThomasRED has carried this on. Thanks to the generous donations of many citizens, we have been able to sign the previous MPPs and fight in various battles. I would like to emphasize once more the importance of your contributions. As you have read, the country collects hardly enough taxes to pay for MPPs, and therefore, your contribution is of vital importance to make eBelgium stronger.

Are you a re-elected or newly elected congress member? Congratulations! I hope your mandate will be helpful for your country. I sincerely hope that the first way that you will help your country, is to follow the example of Jacob van Artevelde, Stonix, Ernest Bogdansson and Sammy Tanghe: they donated the gold they received with their treasure map for being elected. Expenses

As I am writing now anyway, I would like to include a short summary of the expenses made lately.

First of all, 36 GOLD was donated to the state accounts. Together with the 14 GOLD we already had in there, we will print 10,000 BEF to ensure we can keep the BEF rate stable. In time, BEF disappears because – for example – people quit the game, and therefore we have to print some extra BEF from time to time.

Another expense was made on our new MPP with USA. A MPP costs 200 GOLD in total. We paid 120 GOLD and USA paid 80 GOLD, which is a generous gesture of them towards a small country like ours. Let’s hope this brings us some good battles again so we can evolve even further!
