There are 3 types of taxes in eRepublik that players should be aware of. These include; VAT& Income & Import Taxes. The current taxes can be seen in the Countries Economy page.

How to find current Taxes

You can get to the Country Page by clicking on "Philippines" or an Philippines Flag located in a few different place.

Next to your name when located in an ePhilippines region. If you are in a foreign region the Country that controls that region's flag will be shown.

In your profile you will be able to see "Philippines" and the Philippines Flag under your citizenship.

Once in the Country page you can see the current taxes of ePhilippines by clicking on the "Economy" Tab.

Income Tax
Income Tax is a tax on employee salaries. The tax is deducted from your salary each time you work.

For example if your salary is set at 100 PHP and the income tax is 10%, 10% (10 PHP) of your wage is deducted as tax and you receive an actual salary of 90 PHP.

VAT
VAT or Value Added Tax is a tax that is deducted from the price of items that you sell on the Market.

For example if you were to put a Q2 Weapon on the market for 11 PHP and the VAT was 10% for Weapons, when your item sells you will receive 10 PHP and 10% (1 PHP) will go to the government as Tax. VAT does not apply to Raw Materials.

Import Tax
Import tax is similar to VAT however it only affects foreign sellers; players selling on a market in which they do not have Citizenship will be subject to the Import Tax of that country as well as the VAT.

For example if a foreign player put a Q2 weapon on the market for 11 PHP with a 10% Income tax and 10% VAT; when their item sells they will receive 8.8 PHP (11 – 20😵. If a player with the citizen were to put the same item on the market for the same price they would receive 10 PHP (11 – 10😵 from the sale.

How Taxes are changed
Tax changes can be proposed by a congressman and are then voted on by the rest of the members of congress. If the proposal gets majority of the votes in favor (Over 50😵 the taxes will be changed.
