Bueno vamos con la tercera parte de la ronda de entrevistas, esta vez con un “enemigo”, Arthk, 4 veces presidente de Portugal y líder de su país en los momentos de mayor tensión ente nuestros pueblos.

Veamos como nos ven desde las tierras lusas:

Nesan: Portugal tiene unas horribles relaciones en España. Pero ambos somos viejos erepublikanos (nacidos en Junio) ¿Recuerdas algo de cuando estábamos aliados en la Alianza Mediterránea?

Realmente apenas puedo recordar nada. Entonces era un jugador novato, y aún estaba centrado en entender el juego en si mismo y nuestra política interna y no le preste demasiada atención a la alianza. He odio historias de que hubo desacuerdos entre algunos países de la AM (sobre todo Italia y España), y Portugal se vio envuelta también en las discusiones…pero es todo lo que puedo recordar.



Nesan: Las relaciones se torcieron tras la primera batalla de Campeche, donde fuimos como aliados. El desenlace de esta batalla y el posterior alineamiento de Portugal con los goons fue ampliamente llamado “traición”. ¿Qué opina de ello?

Bueno, todo depende del punto de vista. Para vosotros nos aliamos con los goons. Pero para nuestra perspectiva los goons eran Alfonso y ese grupo de Españoles que realizaron un takeover para elegir a Alfonso y con las intenciones de anexionar México a España, y a su vez se andaban quejando de que otra comunidad quería realizar un TO a México. Siento decirlo pero eso es de
Además, creo recordar que ya por entonces España y Portugal no eran aliados. Si, aún teníamos un MPP de la extinta AM en vigor, pero España ya se había unido a una alianza con los países mas imperialistas mientras que Portugal se unió a PEACE.
Entonces, Portugal junto con PEACE comenzó una operación para salvar México
, que bajo nuestro punto de vista, era nuestra única intención.
Entonces gobernaba el PMV y sus artículos apoyando la guerra contra Portugal en los medios españoles nos ayudaron a embarcarnos totalmente en esta operación.
No, no veo esto como una traición.


Nesan: En Octubre, cuando España estaba bajo el gobierno del PMV denominado “Imperio”, el gobierno portugués solía decir que no estaba contra España sino contra el PMV, incluso varios portugueses apoyaron la coalición anti-PMV, PRDE en Diciembre. ¿Te han decepcionado los gobiernos posteriores al PMV/NEL? Nota: En esta pregunta quería haber añadido, o el gobierno portugués cambio su posición? Pero me olvidé.


Bueno, los únicos presidentes de fuera del PMV con los que he tratado ha sido Cyberber y alvoske. Sobre Cyberber…como podría decirlo….no entendía sus ideas. Cuando conversamos vía Gtalk, se marchaba a menudo sin avisar, hablaba de alcanzar la paz y crear una nueva alianza pero al próximo día estaba atacando a nuestro aliado Francia. No entiendo porque quería hablar de paz y luego atacaba Francia al día siguiente. Realmente sí que quedé decepcionado porque se suponía que “el candidato del PRDE iba a salvar a España del PMV” pero…únicamente decir que era raro.

Cuando anonimux fue baneado y alvoske asumió la presidencia me dispuse a hablar con él, esperando que no fuese tan troll como los presidentes del PMV…pero no sabes como me equivoqué. En esa conversación me demostró que no era diferente de los trolls de PMV/NEL en lo que a la diplomacia se refiere. El mismo lenguaje, la misma arrogancia que no lleva a nada, en mi opinión, un puro troll.

Antes de eso, cuando nosotros nos dimos cuenta de que las ofensivas y la guerra fueron comenzadas y dirigidas por el PMV, y cuando recibíamos muchas quejas de ciudadanos españoles que no estaban de acuerdo con la guerra, diciendo que el PMV era igual que los Goons, y que esa guerra no la apoyaban los ciudadanos corrientes, tenía la sensación de que no estábamos contra España sino contra el PMV. El problema fue que con el tiempo la opinión española fue cambiando lentamente, como si ya estuviesen acostumbrados a atacar Portugal y no se preguntasen por los orígenes de la guerra. Al final perdí las esperanzas de una solución diplomática al conflicto.

Nesan: España le declare la Guerra a Portugal en Octubre/Noviembre de 2008, y desde entonces hemos estado en guerra. ¿Cómo piensas que la guerra terminará? ,

Realmente no lo sé, el futuro lo dirá. Siempre he estado abierto a entablar conversaciones diplomáticas, nunca lo he negado, pero el conflicto se ha hecho mas profundo y no tengo ni idea de cómo terminará. La conquista del Algarve es una espina que tenemos clavada y que aún hoy nos duele. Será una herida que tardará tiempo en cicatrizar. Esperemos que podamos superar esta situación, pero esto llevará tiempo y muchísimas conversaciones diplomáticas.

Nesan: ¿Cree que parte de la culpa de las malas relaciones actuales la tienen los trolls (con los ofensivos artículos de ambos ministerios de defensa)? ,

En todos los lugares hay trolls, y en España eso lo sabeis mas que nadie. Me entristece pensar que toda esta guerra ha sido llevada a cabo por estúpidos tolls. Es normal que aparezcan siempre trolls en todos los post de declaración de guerra. Cuando una guerra estalla siempre aparece gente que trollea los artículos del bando contrario, es algo inevitable. ¿Genera odio? Si, lo hace.
Pero si lo pensamos bien ¿Qué quiere un troll? Su propósito es simple, molestar a la gente para llamar su atención. Lo mejor que puede hacerse es ignorarles, porque de ellos no sale nada bueno y seguirles el juego no es lo mejor que puede hacerse. Porque realmente generan odio de la nada.

, Nesan: Digame algo (pues algo habrá) que sea mejor en España que en Portugal, y viceversa. ,

Bueno, España esta mas poblada y eso por supuesto os da mucha ventaja. Tambien teneis muchísimo GOLD (aunque ya habeis gastado mucho), y una prensa mucho mas activa.

Por otra parte hay dos cosas principales que nos mantienen fuertes: Normalmente en Portugal estamos unidos (mientras realmente, a veces parece que España está absolutamente dividida) y en mi humilde opinión, nuestra población es mas pequeña, pero está mas organizada.


, Nesan: ¿Qué piensas de la sociedad, política y el ejército Español? ¿En que se diferencian de los Portugueses?

Bueno, no tengo mucha idea de lo que pasa en España ahora, he leído algunos artículos de Comandanta Ramona y ya. Pero antes podía recordar que estaban todos contra PMV/NEL.
Sobre el Ejército Español, las primeras batallas consistían en unos pocos tanques que fundían cientos de GOLD. Pero no tengo ni idea de cómo es vuestro ejército o como se organiza, por lo que no puedo opinar si es diferente del nuestro.

Nesan: ¿Y sobre ATLANTIS? ¿Qué piensas de la permanencia de España en esta alianza?

Bueno, estas hablando con un ex secretario general de PEACE. No esperes que sea imparcial xD

Aunque, si desde el punto de vista de un ciudadano pro-PEACE creo que España debería marcharse, desde un punto de vista de uno neutral no lo sé. Entiendo el miedo de España a si abandonan ATLANTIS, encontrarse cara a cara con Portugal, Francia e Italia llenos de MPP y sed de venganza. Pero quedarse quieto sin hacer nada tampoco arreglará las cosas.


Nesan: Si no me equivoco, ud dirigió PEACE, una alianza con muy mala imagen en España. ¿Porqué piensas que es mejor que ATLANTIS?

Hoy en día ambas alianzas son el centro de atención del mundo, y las dos han perdido sus propósitos iniciales. Pese a ello quiero señalar que los países que comenzaros los ataques fueron los de ATLANTIS, y que PEACE luchaba para defender la libertad. Pero la guerra continuó y las identidades de ambas alianzas se mezclaron y se embarcaron en una guerra sin fin, donde se realizan TO a pequeños países, donde todo parece legal para obtener ventajas….no me gusta que los Admin hayan programado el juego así. Actualmente, depende el juego de la guerra, una guerra que comenzó a ser aburrida hace ya tempo. Las guerras deberían ser esporádicas y divertidas, no constantes y monótonas.

Pero sigo pensando que PEACE actua mucho mas como alianza que ATLANTIS. Parece que en ALTLANTIS la gente pasa de defender a los pequeños países, pero cuando Rumanía ataca Indonesia bien que van todos a ayudar.

Mientras que PEACE ha ayudado a defender países muy débiles (incluso que no eran de PEACE), sin pedir nada a cambio. Como Portugal, Rusia, Francia, Serbia, México e incluso Alemania (y Hungría antes del baby boom). PEACE realmente tiene la capacidad de ayudar a pequeños países y actuar conjuntamente frente a las amenazas.

Esta es la principal razón por la que pienso que PEACE es mejor que ATLANTIS.

Nesan: Despídase de la sociedad española y si quiere añadir algo mas, es el momento.

Todo lo que quier decir es que: Tenemos un nuevo mundo muy revuelto. Nuestros países están enzarzados en una guerra, aunque yo nunca he perdido la esperanza de una solución pacífica. Me gustaría incluso pensar que el camino es oscuro, pero que siempre podemos buscar una luz al final del túnel, sin abandonar. Es difícil, pero os preguntareis que teneis que ganar buscando una luz que está tan al fondo del túnel. Pero entonces dejadme preguntaros ¿y que perdeis si no lo intentais? Depende de vosotros.

1-Portugal has now really awful relations with Spain. But we are old players (both born in June), do you remember something when we were allies, in the Mediterranean Alliance?

To be honest I can't quite remember. Back then I was a brand new player still struggling to understand the game itself and the internal politics that I didn't pay much attention to the Alliance. I heard stories tho, there were some misunderstandings between some MA countries (Italy and Spain mainly) and Portugal inevitably got involved in those arguments. That's all I can remember from that time.


2-The relations became bad after Campeche`s first battle, when we were allies. In Spain this battle and later, with Portuguese in line with the Goons, is widely say it was a Portuguese treachery. What do you think about that?

Well, it's all about different points of view, to be honest. In your perspective we were aligned with Goons, in our perspective the "Goons" were Alfonso and the Spanish citizens that took over Mexico. We didn't care about the Goons in Mexico, from our point of view what we had seen was a group of Spanish people that orchestrated a takeover to elect Alfonso (and with open intentions of annexing Mexico to Spain) and they were at the same time blaming some other community for TOing Mexico (the exact thing they have done). I'm sorry to say but that was kinda hypocrite.
I also gotta state that at that time Spain wasn't allied with Portugal. Yes, we had an MPP from the extinct MA, but Spain had joined the Alliance with more imperialist nations at that time, and Portugal had joined PEACE.
Portugal alongside with PEACE started the operation to save Mexico, that was our only intention, based on our point of view.
The fact that PMV was in charge back then and the articles supporting war against Portugal in the Spanish media also helped us going through this whole operation with clean conscience.
And no, I don't see this as a treachery.


3- In October, when Spain was handled by PMV´s "Imperio", Portuguese government said that they weren´t against Spain, they were against PMV. Indeed, Portuguese people supported anti-PMV coalition PRDE in December. Do you feel dissapointed by the attitude of post PMV/NEL governments?

Well, the only non PMV presidents that I've ever talk to were cyberber and alvoske. Cyberber... well, lemme think how should I put it in a nice way... Lets say I quite didn't understand that guy's ideas. In the conversation we had (through Gtalk) he went away a lot of times without warning, he talked about peace, that he would agree to close the war and create a new alliance but the next day he was attacking our ally France. I just didn't get his idea of wanting to talk about peace but then attacking our ally in the next day. I was kinda disappointed because he was supposed to be the "almighty PRDE candidate that would save Spain from PMV" but ... lets just say he was weird.
When anonimux got banned and alvoske became president I went to talk to him, hoping he would be less "trolish" than the PMV presidents... Oh, you have no idea how wrong I was. The conversation we had showed that he was no different from PMV/NEL trolls when it comes to diplomacy. The same speech, the same arrogant attitude that lead to nothing.. oh well... a pure troll, in my humble opinion.

After that I kinda lost hopes in diplomacy.

Back on the time when we realized that the war and the offensives were an action started and promoted by PMV, and when I've received lots of complaints from Spanish citizens about not agreeing with the war, telling me that PMV was like a "Goon party" and that war wasn't supported by common citizens, because of that I simply stated that we were against PMV, not Spain. The problem was that with time I saw the Spanish public opinion shifting, changing slowly like if they were already so used to attack Portugal that they didn't even care about how it all started. Because of that I lost hopes on a diplomatic resolution of the conflict.

4-Spain declared war to Portugal on October/November 2008, and we have been on war since that. How do you think it will develop this war?

I honestly don't know. Only the future will tell. I've always been open to diplomatic conversations, I've never hidden it, but this conflict goes so deep that I honestly haven't got the slightest idea of how it will end. The conquest of Algarve is like a rock in the shoe, its always there and we can still feel it. It left a wound that'll be hard to heal. Hopefully we can sort this whole situation out, but if that's so it'll take time and lots of diplomatic conversations.

5- Do you think current bad relations and for the most part trolish (with that offensive articles in Spanish and Portuguese Defence Ministries) people fault?

Trolls are everywhere, and Spain knows it better than anyone. It saddens me to think that this whole war might have been started due to silly trolls. The trolls in the war news in a «post war declaration situation» is completely normal. When a war pops up between two nations there will always be people trolling each others articles, its inevitable. It causes hatred? Yes it does.
But come to think about it, what's the purpose of a troll ? The purpose is simple, its to piss of as many people as they can in order to have some type of attention. The right thing to do is simply ignore that kind of people, nothing good will come from them and feeding them is the wrong thing to do. It creates hatred out of nothing, really.

6-Say me a think (something is going to be :lol🙂 that it´s better in Spain than in Portugal, and also things that in Portugal are better that in Spain.


Well, Spain has larger population, giving a bigger advantage, of course. You also have a LOT of GOLD (you guys spent a lot already o.O) and a much more active media. In the other hand I think we have two main things that kept us strong: We normally stand united (while, to be honest, sometimes Spain is divided like hell) and we have a smaller and more organized population (in my humble opinion).


7- What do you think about Spanish Society, politicians and spanish army? Are they different than portuguese?

I don't know how things are going in Spain at the moment. I've read some articles from Comandanta Ramona and that was it. As far as I remember, in the early days of the war there was something like PMV/NEl vs everybody else. About the Spanish army, in the first battles it consisted of few tanks that used to spend thousands of GOLD. Right now I don't know specifics about your army, nor its organization. So I can't say if its different in here.


8- And about ATLANTIS? What do you think about Spanish staying in ATLANTIS?

Well, you're asking this to a former PEACE GC Secretary General, so don't expect a clean impartial answer 😛.

So... well, from a PEACE citizen point of view I think Spain should leave... from a normal citizen point of view I don't know really. I understand the fear Spain has if they leave ALTANTIS and have to face Portugal France and Italy full of MPP's and revenge thirst, but siting back and doing nothing isn't quite a solution.


9- If I-m not wrong, you have directed PEACE. PEACE has really bad image in Spain. Why do you think is Better than atlantis?

I think nowadays the Alliances seem to be the center of attentions in the world, and both alliances kinda lost their initial purpose. Even so I must say that the ones who started the offensives were ATLANTIS countries, and at first PEACE actually stood for freedom. When the war just kept going, the identities of the Alliances started to fade and it evolved to a never ending full scale war, where small countries are taken over, where everything is legal in order to gain advantage... I blame the admins for that. This game depends too much of war, and war started to be boring a long time ago. Wars should be rare but exciting, not frequent and boring.
But still, in my opinion PEACE acts more as an alliance than ATLANTIS. In ATLANTIS people usually seem to avoid helping smaller countries defending themselves, but when it comes to attack Indonesia through Romania they all seem to gladly help.

In the other hand PEACE has helped and saved defenseless countries (even non PEACE countries) without asking anything in return. Examples? Portugal, Russia, France, Serbia, Mexico and even Germany (and Hungary before their baby boom). PEACE has the ability to actually help smaller countries and unite against threats.

This is the main reason why I think PEACE is better than ATLANTIS.


10- Say goodbye to spanish society and if you want to say something to Spain, is the moment.

All I have to say is: This is a hell of a messed up new world we've got here. Tho a war splits our countries apart I never lost hopes in a peaceful resolution. I like to think even if the path seems dark we should always search for a light in the end of the tunnel, never giving up. I know it's hard, and you may ask what the hell you have to gain by searching that so called light in the end of the tunnel, but then let me put you this question: What do you lose if you don't?. It's all up to you guys.
