This Game's Getting Interesting!
FirstLaw
It has been a long time since I last wrote. The game has been pretty boring until recently. Politics was the same old nonsense so there wasn't much to write about. I've been busy medal hunting and two-clicking to keep myself occupied. I tried getting involved in the meta-game at some point in the distant past, but I couldn't get into it. Now Anna Semenovich on the other hand...
...I'd get into that!
Now that I have your attention, there seems to be a power shift in the eUSA. It seems that despite Ajay Bruno, Hannibal, et al being on everybody's black list as a traitor or worse (do I have to remind people that it's just a game? I guess I do!) they have recently lead the American Freedom Alliance (AFA) into plurality in the recent Congressional elections. How'd they do it? Serbs? Multis? I don't care who you are but you have to be impressed with that.
There are many reasons to expect that eventually they may achieve a majority and hence the presidency. All they need is time. If the elite want to keep that from happening, they need to get a handle on the situation pretty darn quick.
The recent election campaigns may be part of the problem. AFA ran a decent campaign that appealed to many people's sense of patriotism and their desire to have a voice in government without necessarily joining the meta-game. I saw this in their shouts and the articles that they've written.
AFA's detractors, on the other hand, ran on a platform of It doesn't matter who you vote for, just don't vote AFA
Yeah, it was that lame. It doesn't get any easier to lose power if you phone it in like that.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. If the elite want to gain any traction and keep what they have, they need to find out why so much of the voting population has been disaffected that they're willing to take chances in your sworn enemy (Still just a game, guys!). It's no secret, even to me, that we have one of the largest two-clicker populations in eRepublic.
So what have they done to keep them? What have they done for them lately?
That's Free Advice.
Anna thanks you for your attention.

V & S. Interesting view point. ~
All they have offered is bitterness. Who wants to be around bitter, negative people who seem to transfer their real life anxieties to a game?
American Freedom Alliance will take the eUS forward!
.....and Anna Semenovich rocks! 🙂
Yes she sure does! For two very big reasons 😉
AFA will screw America over. That's for sure.
AFA just have 31 % xDDDDDDD
and yeah, they are still loyal to Serbia and Hungary, instead of America, do you believe that they want the best for eAmerica? xDDD NO
31% out of FIVE parties. But if you're convinced that there's nothing to worry about, then you can run the next campaign.
This is their best way to "mock" us, since we don't have 50% which is implausible with the way elections work now until we get more people. 31% is still a nice win!

All things considered, you are right.
eUSA campaigned on the simple fact that electing an AFA majority to Congress or an AFA Country President will destroy the eUSA community in it's present form.
The question posed is: Is this acceptable to you or not?
Would you help burn down what exists, for a weak promise of something better, made by a party comprised of imported haters and discontented citizens?
If you can imagine a bright new future, follow.
Just don't burn your bridges.
😁😁^
46 % of the population did not accept that was the appropriate question. Some answered a different one instead.
Many asked their own question: "will you provide concrete paths to wealth, stability, engagement and fun in the next election?"
Think of large numbers of players using their vote to ASK a question of government instead of answering and you will get a better appreciation of what happened.
46% - too close for comfort
