Damage of EDEN and Phoenix

Day 791, 02:28 Published in Canada Canada by Saya Innsbruck

So I've done a couple articles about the firepower of various eNations. That's all fine and dandy for the military obsessed, but for the random news reader, all that charts and blocks of text wouldn't be terribly easy to disseminate. So which alliance is currently more powerful on a hypothetical battle involving everyone on both alliances with all MPPs activated and blowing all their gold?

My data is now about half a month late. I will still be using them, with some exceptions. Of course, Spain and Poland's growth has to be taken into account, while the old nemesis Hungary and Romania both saw some excellent growths during the period. Furthermore, most nations have seen some moderate growth, and damage generally inflates as the game goes on. Babies do matter - national power have changed relatively since some have stagnated and some have growth. Babies also help tanking, because it drives up the economy and allow the booming nation to afford greater tanking. Further, the greater "base" damage means tanking damage is more significant and noticeable. Eastern Europe contains 6 out of the top 10 powers in the eWorld, and this trend doesn't seem to end any time soon at this rate.

The data will no doubt always change due to people leaving and entering the game, with real life events, or data skewed from difference in time zones and starting time of battles. However, it is possible to get some neat information from this nonetheless. Base damage refers to damage where the nation doesn't really put any effort in that day. At most some tanking by some individuals. Little to no military activities. Full damage refers to active measures to promote damage output, like using tanking fund and giving out guns. This can be higher for some nations because previous showings may be not under full effort, or their base strength went up during the time past. The smaller the nation, the more inaccurate the data due to the existence or disappearance of a tank will terribly skew damage output. (+ and - means how their base growth are trending). Some tanking damage will have some guess work involve because countries like Canada haven't had a direct MPP battle that they involve heavy tanking.

EDEN

The membership of EDEN (eRepublik Defence and Economy Network) consists of 13 members. Most members were former members of the former super-alliance ATLANTIS (Atlantic Treaty of Latin, American, and Nordic Territories for International Security). Formed from the eastern and northern European ATLANTIS nations, EDEN steadily grew and rose in power, especially after the disintegration of PEACE to become the super-alliance today. Their latest addition is Australia.

EDEN members are Poland, Romania*, Spain, USA, Croatia, Canada, Greece**, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina***, Finland, Australia, Switzerland, and Norway.

*Romania has significantly more players with non-Romania citizenship, and many of their strongest tanks aren't in Romania
**Greece haven't yet demonstrated their full blown tanking power
***Bosnia and Herzegovina's most powerful players, and thus damage, are Serbians. One can assume that a good chunk of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in fact Phoenix damage.

Expected "base" damage
Damage/day:
Polan😛 ~1,500,000 (+++)
Romania: ~1,100,000 (++)
Spain: ~1,000,000 (++)
USA: ~950,000 (+-)
Croatia: ~725,000 (+)
Greece: ~325,000 (+)
Canada: ~300,000 (+)
Sweden: ~210,000 (+-)
Bosnia and Herzegovina: ~210,000 (+)
Finlan😛 ~160,000 (+-) *wonky data*
Australia: ~140,000 (+)
Norway: ~43,000 (+-?)
Switzerlan😛 ~42,000 (+?)

EDEN: ~6,600,000 (+)

Expected "full" damage
Damage/day:
Polan😛 ~3,000,000 --- Probably higher now, Saarland was 2,800,000
Spain: ~2,300,000 --- Probably higher now, Paris was 2,100,000
USA: ~2,300,000 --- Can be potentially slightly higher
Romania: ~2,200,000 --- Far higher if counted Ukraine, Belgium, and Moldovan Romanians
Croatia: ~2,000,000 --- Potentially higher, recent full efforts reached 1,800,000
Greece: ~600,000 --- Complete guess work, because Greece always had strong allied support, so they never needed to tank very hard. This is going with the usual trend of about 2x base damage.
Canada: ~600,000 --- Same as above, as there aren't any direct need for citizens to throw everything in a battle in a while.
Sweden: ~500,000 --- High percentage are tanks
Bosnia and Herzegovina: ~480,000 --- Most of that Serbian
Finlan😛 ~400,000 --- Similar to Sweden
Australia: ~375,000
Norway: ~80,000
Switzerlan😛 ~80,000

EDEN: ~15,000,000

Phoenix

Phoenix is a relatively new alliance that now consists of 18 members. Formed entirely out of PEACE: GC (People of Earth Associated under Common Excellence: Global Community), even its later additions were originally PEACE. Created as an attempt to counter the rising power of EDEN as PEACE fell apart due to internal dissent and inefficiencies, Phoenix is current the counterpart of EDEN in erepublik's perpetual bi-polar world since early 2009.

Phoenix members are Hungary, Serbia, Russia, Indonesia, Iran, Brazil, Turkey, UK, Latvia, Argentina, Germany^, Lithuania, Portugal, Estonia, Slovenia, UNL😁, and Bulgaria.

^Germany is wiped out at the moment. Current damage will be lower than optimal levels.
UNL also include some Belgian citizenship. How many Belgians are fighting for the UNL is unknown, but likely presents a smaller fraction of the total Belgian damage

Expected "base" damage
Damage/day:
Hungary: ~1,600,000 (+)
Serbia: ~1,350,000 (++)
Russia: ~750,000 (+-)
Indonesia: ~530,000 (-)
Iran: ~320,000 (+-)
Turkey: ~300,000 (+)
Brazil: ~260,000 (+-)
United Kingdom: ~250,000 (+)
Latvia: ~240,000 (+)
Argentina: ~200,000 (+-)
Lithuania: ~180,000 (+)
Portugal: ~135,000 (+-)
Germany: ~125,000 (+-)
Estonia: ~105,000 (+)
UNL: ~75,000 (+-)
Slovenia: ~75,000 (+-)
Bulgaria: ~70,000 (+-?)

Phoenix: ~6,500,000 (+)

Expected "full" damage

Hungary: ~5,500,000 --- Huge numbers of tanks, may be even higher.
Serbia: ~3,000,000 --- Estimated, known to be incredibly zealous, boomer population older than Poland's, possibly higher.
Russia: ~1,800,000 --- Has not really demonstrated true potential, has tons of gold
Indonesia: ~1,750,000 --- Blown their treasury; lost Karnataka. This potential may not be seen again.
Iran: ~800,000 --- Liaoling was almost 900,000. Cannot buy gold.
Brazil: ~700,000 --- Reasonably wealthy. Has only slightly more fighters than Canada.
Turkey: ~600,000 --- Estimated. Has a older but smaller player base than Greece.
United Kingdom: ~500,000 -- Estimated. Recent showings draw about 400,000 damage. May be a higher.
Latvia: ~500,000 -- Estimated. Never really threatened, so never really fight very hard.
Argentina: ~375,000 --- Great Andes was about this number. May be higher.
Lithuania: ~325,000 --- Same as Latvia. Only real invasion recently was Poland's incursion a while ago, and that wasn't nation threatening.
Slovenia: ~330,000 --- Prekmurje. I suspect non-Slovenian (Serbian/Hungarian) tanks with Slovenian citizenship. Slovenian strength level is too low to achieve 4x base damage.
Portugal: ~300,000 --- Estimated as well.
Germany: ~300,000 --- Saarland
UNL: ~225,000 --- Recent battle was almost 200,000, can be higher if Netherlands itself was invaded.
Bulgaria: ~220,000 --- Recent showing.
Estonia: ~175,000 --- Never really fight anywhere significantly above their base damage. Purely hypothetical. May be higher.

Phoenix: ~17,000,000

Phoenix on paper has significant full fighting advantage, regardless of the slight base advantage that EDEN has with their hordes of babies. Generally, Phoenix has the older and stronger player which allows them to win pitch battles, but EDEN may be better suited to long slugging match since "base" damage is generally free to throw around. Phoenix's advantage may be eroded quickly if EDEN is able to keep even a small number of their current hordes of privates and corporals into Captains and Colonels. Phoenix also has a lot more apathetic members than EDEN, and fewer tanking occurs if it doesn't occur on their territory.

In terms of nations not in the alliance, generally both sides have nations that offset each other's advantages. For example, the Entente is generally placing their efforts against EDEN, while some neutrals such as China and India tends to lend their support to EDEN. Also, Sol and Entente both don't break 1,000,000 basic damage, and they can't tank more than 2,000,000. In essence, they can't current effectively defend themselves effectively against any single major power, much less the entirety of Phoenix/EDEN. However, their contributions may very well tip the balance of power between the two.

This damage article will be the last one (about damage) for a while. People must be tired of it by now.

Furthermore, my organization, Red Cross Canada is a charity dedicated to bring player's wellness above 40 through gifting and high quality food, as well as moving tickets to hospital regions. At 40 wellness citizens can usually fight for wellness in hospital. I don't have much of an income, so I need all the donations I can get. I aim to bring wellness service outside the eCanada eventually. Sending individuals to me also saves me time to look for active but unhealthy players. Anyone one less than 40 wellness without the means to regain wellness reading this please send me a message.
