GLaDOS for PM:Domestic and Economic Manifesto!

Hello Citizens of the united kingdom, today I would like to talk to you about my visions for the domestic and economic future of this country. While this country has some of the best home affairs and economic offices in the world, I believe that a few changes to our these offices can make the UK a better place!



As a world traveler, I can say that our domestic office is one of the best in the world, a huge machine, sending out a massive amount of PMs to noobs daily, providing entertainment to the masses, and many other things. It would be wrong of me to call for massive reform, as this office practically runs itself. However, if elected to the office of prime minister, I will establish a few new things.

Ministry of Recruitment:
For too long, we have not had any form of major population growth. The ministry of Home affairs has had an underministry of recruitment since, well, forever. And, quite frankly, they have done jack. I propose that we create a ministry of recruitment, whose sole purpose is to stimulate population growth through whatever means he can find. While many scoff at this idea, I believe it still possible to create a mass babyboom for our country, wether by finding our way to TV, or advertising on popular UK gaming blogs. Where there is a will, there’s a way!



Continued Maintenance of the Brain Trust:
The Brain Trust is our hope for the future. The brain trust is a collective group of the best economic, military, and domestic minds the UK has to offer. I believe that this group should be continuously added to and built upon as we near the activation of V2. The future is V2 and V2 is the brain trust!





Number Ten Downing: the paper
As we all remember, Dishmcds opened up the groundbreaking Number Ten Downing forum on the UK forums, where citizens could ask questions and get answers and updates from the prime minister. While Dish’s addition of this to the country was great, I feel like it did not reach a large enough audience. That is why I will be commissioning the No.10 downing organization and newspaper. This paper, much like the eUSA’s James S. Brady Press room, will give a slightly detailed, yet succinct report of the weeks happenings. This paper will be managed by the cabinet secretary, who will write an article at least once a week, but possibly more, depending on the situation.



This will not, however, mean I will not be writing articles. As Prime Minister, I believe that constant communication between the prime minister and the citizens of the kingdom is key. I will not be afraid to admit my mistakes to the public, and will let the public know as much as I can without allowing secrets to be leaked. Transparency is key to a GLaDOS Prime Ministership.







Economics is one of the most important things in our country, as the old saying goes, money makes the world go round. The UK markets are some of the strongest in the world, and our currency is the envy of every economist in the world. I believe that strong monetary market control, combined with pro business economic decisions, will help make our economy even stronger. To help me with these decisions, I will call upon a newly created economic council. This council will be comprised of the greatest economic masters the UK has to offer, and will have a private forum to themselves, where they will debate everything from tax changes to the exchange rate of the GBP. This group shall be operated by the minister of finance, and the MoF shall report to me on the findings of the economic council, as well as his own suggestions.



As contracts no longer exist, I can no longer support loans issued by the bank of england. As Prime Minister, I would shut down any form of loan given to citizens or neutral nations. The only nations the Bank of England would loan money to are Phoenix Allies.




An Economic council, Combined with ongoing aggressive regulation of our monetary markets, will make sure the united kingdom is an economic powerhouse for months to come!

On V2:

Version 2: the second upgrade to erepublik since its conception at beta. Many people have different opinions, and many have begun making promises on what they can do for you in the coming V2. I believe that It is only possible to make a good decision when you know everything possible on a subject before making a decision. as such, I will make no promises about V2, except that I will continue to make sure that the brain trust makes the best decisions possible for the country.



In Summary:
The UK is one of the most advanced nations in the eworld domestically and economically, and it is my prerogative that the creation of a ministry of recruitment, the inclusion of an economic council, and the creation of a number ten downing newspaper, among other reforms, can only make this country a better place!
