INTRODUCTIONS TO eUS

My name is Addy Lawrence and I am an eRep addict. I am a financial, political and military animal. I spent quite a bit of time in eCanada. I established myself as a financial guru and political racehorse. When the economy module was neutered, I started devoting energy to the military module.

Most recently, I've decided to make some significant changes to how I play this game. The first change I tried was stopping cold turkey, but that didn't work, so I'm trying something else.

I'm focusing on game-play and getting the most out of what I've invested in this game over the past two plus years; my companies, my newspaper, my friends. To do this requires maximum production bonuses and eUS was the logical place to go.



HOW THINGS HAVE GONE SO FAR

The first several days have been fine. I find the media quite active and robust here, and the economy is much stronger than Canada's, so much so that I regret not switching sooner.

I am still undecided about what to do on the political front but I've established a direction as to what I want to do on the military front.



THE NEWEST MILITARY UNIT IN eUS

I will be starting a new Military Unit called Canadians in America or CIA.

Canadians in America follows eUS battle orders. The battle priorities of the MU are eUS first and eCanada second. I'd like to thank CFovetS for our logo which is a variant of the CIA logo.



I would also like to thank Dr.Pain and loyen for their attempts at a logo which were both viable.

Notice how the prominence of the eagle remains despite the obvious references to Canada; CIA respects the authority of the eUS CP. Also notice the red maple leaf, this is an MU which is proud of Canadians and the relationship between eCanada and eUS. Also notice the tag-line, "eCanada can has nice things"; this is a running joke in eCanada because we always seem bent on destroying what is good in eCanada however CIA acknowledges this and fights for what is good in eCanada. With that said, you will see a fair amount of activity in the eCan media from CIA members.

CIA will not have a forum and will not have any requirement to be on IRC nor will you be required to work in a commune. CIA is focused on eUS's military priorities so that 100/100 is protected and maintained. CIA takes what is left after serving eUS's military mandate and fights for what is good in eCanada because eCanada can has nice things.

I realise that one of the last things that eUS needs is another MU on the scene but there is an emerging demographic in eUS that identifies with this movement. Also, I like the MU mechanics better than I like the party mechanics so a Military Unit made more sense to me.



THE FIRST RECRUIT INTO CIA

I'd like to welcome our first recruit into the fold, Rigour6. I am proud to have him aboard and I highly recommend you read his paper as he is a terrific and quality writer. Rigour6 has rebranded his paper Spem Redux to North by Northeast and I'm sure those who appreciate quality writing will find it a worthwhile read.



CLOSING COMMENTS

I mean no disrespect to America's Central Intelligence Agency, just taking advantage of the association and connection to Canadians in America.

I am starting some base-line studies of the eUS economy, you can look forward to some statistics and analysis from me and this newspaper in the near future.
